I’m so serious when I say this has got to be the best breakfast place I’ve ever been to. Me and my friends stopped here for brunch while waiting for our laundry to finish washing at the laundromat right by it and ended up going every single day after that. I’m not joking when I say every single food and drink item we got throughout that whole week was phenomenal. We got breakfast stuff like the your choice of eggs and sourdough toast plate which was INSANE LIKE SO GOOD and lunch items like the pulled pork sandwich and wraps. Every single one was even better than the last, and the drinks were so so good too. I got an iced matcha latte and a strawberry matcha which I think was seasonal but god the strawberries were fresh crushed and the matcha was delicious! Another day I got the hot mocha. And oh my god. That has got to be the best mocha I think I’ve ever had in my life, it was hot out so I was skeptical getting a hot drink but god I’m thankful I did because DAMN that was a life changing drink. One of my friends even went for a second round of food after finishing his first round because it was just that good. Not only that, the prices were just as good as the food! The atmosphere is so cute too, little chairs outside on the patio and cute tables, very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for enjoying the summer weather! All the workers are super nice too, very accommodating and friendly!! I think leaving this cafe behind after leaving Australia was the most devastating part of my trip, honestly might have been my canon event. I miss it every single day. It’s been like two weeks since I left and I still long for the day I return. U might catch me returning to Sydney just to eat here again…

I ordered fried eggs (which were so overcooked the yoke was hard 🤢) with a side of SAUTÉED kale. They served me RAW kale covered in oil and garlic from a jar. But it was raw! I could not eat it as I can’t eat raw kale due to my digestion. When they cleared my plate (which sat on my table for 30 minutes after I finished eating while i read the Sunday paper) I then pointed out that they kale had not been cooked as advertised so I hadn’t eaten it. I then packed up to leave and during that time she bought it back (still uncooked btw) and said the chef RE-sautéed it. But it was 30 minutes after I’d eaten and it was when I was leaving. And then even though I’m a regular - they made me pay for the raw falsely advertised kale. I will never go back until they can empty a cook who can fry a simple egg (runny yoke is not hard to do) or cook kale

Organic toast is not organic, just regular Sonoma despite being called organic. I informed the waitress that the bread they were using was not organic who then argued with me about this saying it was okay to still call it organic as the brand they use is “good quality”. I think the cafe is above average when viewed as a regular cafe and it has a genuine charm and kindness to it but if they approach what they are serving like this I do not trust their other menu items or consider this cafe a reasonable option if you are aiming to be careful of where your food is being sourced from. I know running a smaller restaurant can be difficult but it is not okay to lie to your customers and the arrogance is very disappointing.
