Jangling Jack’s — Restaurant in Sydney

My husband and I had a faultless dinner at Jangling Jack's recently.

From the moment we walked in, the staff and owner made us feel like we were regulars. Erin and Will made stellar recommendations! I went with her first pick the Pretty Please and my husband had the Trinadad Sour. Both beautifully balanced and hit the spot!

We then worked our way through their focused menu. Starting with oysters (which my husband said were the best he has ever had), fried zucchini (beautifully spiced and perfectly crispy), and a burrata with nectarines, figs, and tomatoes. The burrata left me speechless.

We were there on a Sunday. The live jazz was a wonderful surprise! The trio was drums, upright bass, and sax. Great music and not too loud. We didn't have to fight to have a conversation at the table.

Along with several more rounds of their incredible cocktails, we split the Sunday Roast. Beautifully tender beef, crispy yorkshire pudding, and homemade gravy. It was AMAZING!

The service was impeccable and attentive without being obtrusive. Drinks were prompt and food was paced perfectly. If we lived in Sydney, we would be back every week.

I was disappointed with the customer service because as a regular customer I changed my choice of drink and accepted the Happy Hour offer of a special priced Margarita to I discover sugar had been added. I told the manger that I hadn’t expected sugar to be added and could I have one made without sugar. I was told that by the manager of the bar that a replacement without sugar wouldn’t be made as I should have told him that I don’t like Margaritas made with white sugar. I was stunned as all the Margaritas my hospitality colleagues and I have made never had sugar added.
