I met owner Flavio in March when I was invited to visit his new pizza restaurant down the road. He was telling me about a pasta joint that he also owned and wanted me to come by and try that out too. This man has so much love and passion for food and I could see it in both venues.

I love the whole 'design your own pasta' process and that's what this place does. We ordered a 'Spaghetti Marinara', 'Penne Puttanesca' and a 'Tagliatelle Carbonara'. The pastas are served in environment-friendly boxes lined with news-greaseproof-paper and with wooden forks. The pastas were hot, fresh and generous with the sauces. They were full of so much flavour and the pasta was cooked just the way I like it!

We also had some entrees which included 'Suppli'. This one was filled with salami and mozzarella. Delicious! I also noticed the 'Crochette' which I had to order! This didn't need sauce and was perfect as it was. Flavio was also kind enough to give us some of the pork to try. My god.. the skin on that thing, I could have eaten a kilo of it. So crispy, crunchy and the pork meat was cooked beautifully.

Now, that garlic bread! It was light, airy and puffy. I tend to fill up on regular garlic bread but this was perfect for me. I could eat it before pasta, eat it with the pasta and I am sure I had some right at the end too. You MUST order a few of these!

This 'Nutella Panzerotto' is something special. It's basically a fried turnover that resembles a calzone and is filled with Nutella. If you saw my story on this one, you'd know how sexy this dessert is. Give me some fresh strawberries on the side and I'll die happy.

We also had these little cannolis - 'Cannolo Siciliano'. The shell was perfect, the filling was generous and the ricotta was fresh and delicious. If you see cannoli on a menu, you order it!

And of course, the 'Tiramisu'. Bellissimo! I could taste the coffee but it wasn't strong and that's just how I like it. Be sure to order ALL of their dessert when you...

I came here when it was new to open about 4ish years ago and I loved it. I remember the Italian owner or chef standing there making sure everyone was doing everything right. I originally rated it a 5 stars because it was delicious and authentic. Today I went back for the first time in a while, and wow has this place gone down hill. The prices are absolutely absurd for what you're receiving but that's the problem - what you're receiving is disgusting. Everything other than the pasta is deep fried and flavourless. The arancini, suppli and croquettes have all been pre made and sitting in the front for who knows how long, because when they serve it to you it's absolutely mush. Then, the pasta itself. That stuff is definitely from a jar there's no 2 ways about it. I can't comment on where the pasta is made but the people cooking it have no concept of pasta temperatures. All in all I am so sad to see this place go downhill. What a waste of money and a drive this was. I'm not sure if the people scoring this place 5 stars have ever had authentic or good pasta because what they are eating is overpriced garbage and I hope they get to experience something better soon. I usually live by Google ratings and a place that is 4.5 stars is usually a safe bet but after this visit, I can safely recommend you avoid like the...

Superb food, reasonably priced and perfect for a quick take away bite or to sit and watch the drama of the night unfold. There were lots of Uber bike couriers around for people wanting food delivered and there was a steady stream of orders going out, which is always a good sign. I had the spaghetti marinara and a coke (other colas are available but not here!) which came to 23 bucks which is just over a tenner if, like me, you're from the UK. The food came quickly and in a paper box/plate with a wooden fork. The pasta was cooked just right and there was plenty of delicious sauce with a good helping seafood i.e. prawns, crab & squid. I was having bit of trouble getting all of the sauce onto the small fork when it occurred to me to get some Garlic Bread to mop it all up. This turned out to be an inspired choice because the GB was sublime and perfectly suited to the task. They were more like twisted doughy strips and soaked up the sauce beautifully. I'm here for a couple of days so I may...

The spaghetti marinara was prepared fresh and hot. I could observe the chef using some of the pasta water to tie in the flavours together and sear the pasta over a high flame. The service was speedy, and the atmosphere was good. There weren't many people dining in around 5:30 p.m., but few people were ordering takeaway. My critique with the marinara is that you could barely taste or see any crab, and the calamari did not taste fresh, nor was it scored. The spaghetti itself tasted fresh, and you could tell it was hand-made, although it could've been a bit thicker in size to help it absorb more of the sauce. The heat of the chilli tied the dish together very well, and the sauce was so tasty. I love that it is presented in a street style way with a brown tray and printed paper lined on the bottom - it's very unique. There are a few different pasta options available to customise your meal - might go for the tagliatelle next time.

Having been to Italy and to many fine Italian restaurants, I thought the pasta was excellent and reasonably priced. My partner wouldn't stop raving about how good the food was! Not sure if the pasta is fresh or not (noticed that the pasta "drying" on the spoons looks like it's just for decoration). We ordered the meatballs in tomato sauce and the one with mushrooms, sausage, truffle and cream sauce, both with tagliatelle. The Arancini was good... wasn't blown away but still tasty. The second time we went, we ordered tortellini with Norma (eggplant in tomato sauce) and spaghetti Carbonara. All were great but the tomato sauce was our favourite. Overall, an excellent Italian restaurant and if we weren't from halfway across the world, we would be eating here often! Thanks to the very friendly owner and staff for a wonderful experience!
