Gong Cha Auburn — Restaurant in Sydney

I live in Auburn Central and this Gong Cha is the closest and most accessible for me, so naturally I come here whenever I crave bubble tea. But unfortunately, every single time I visit, the customer service is extremely disappointing. The staff are consistently rude and unapproachable. There’s no smile, no basic friendliness, and often they’re just on their phones instead of paying attention to customers. When I go to order, they respond in very short, blunt words, sometimes even with an attitude that makes me feel like I’m bothering them and the whole interaction feels cold and unpleasant. I honestly don’t understand why the staff here behave like this. Why so rude? Why so arrogant? A small smile or a polite word makes such a huge difference. What’s sad is that this store is the complete opposite. The bad service overshadows the quality of the drinks, and it makes me not want to come back even though it’s the most convenient option for me I really think the Gong Cha management team needs to look into this Auburn branch and train their staff properly. Good customer service isn’t about long conversations, even a little bit of kindness, effort, and respect goes a long way. I always get matcha smoothie but what I had today was far from what I always have. Flavorless and ended up throwing it in the bin.

Also was asked it would take 15 minutes to have the smoothies served. I thought maybe they were busy but no.

It meant that they will serve all the other customers and do the smoothies last. 10 customers were served before us because we ordered a smoothie. Never happened to other branches why here? And ok fine it takes time but why go on your phone while making the drink? One hand on the phone one hand making the drink. That's appalling.

Also I paid cash but the guy who served us sure took his time making sure it wasn't a counterfeit. He also asked the person who was making the drink to have a look. Next time will pay by card.

If I can leave a - review I would’ve, absolutely disgusting of a place, tea had no flavour it was all water absolutely horrendous of a place, staff was slow and rude, hygiene doesn’t seem to be a priority in this place it’s honestly one of the worst bubble tea I have ever tasted one sip I tossed it in the bin right in front of the staff, and they couldn’t careless. Customers beware this place is an absolute scam and rip off they will charge you $6.60 for a large and fill it with flavourless water and put you a lot of ice in the cup to cut the quantity of liquid to put in the drink. Never again I will ever buy anything from Gong Cha auburn. YUCK 🤢 chatime or share tea absolutely pisses all over Gong Cha especially the customer service...
