Read moreThis business followed me on Instagram a while ago and I was meaning to visit them. Life gets in the way etc and we finally visited last week. And I'm glad I did. In short - the food and coffee were great (with a special mention to the good service from the manager).
My experience: The manager on duty: very nice and personable; Other staff: felt like they were overwhelmed, inexperienced, and not able to manage the orders etc (felt like they were in a constant rush - took a while to get tap water and even to have our table ready); That said, the food was great - my partner enjoyed the chicken salad bowl and I enjoyed the burger; The coffee set-up was brilliant. 6 coffee heads at the front (looking like Ferraris) - with the main machine located below the bench (reminds me of Industry Beans set-up on Little Collins Street, Melbourne - so good stuff - good to see that locals in Auburn can enjoy some good stuff). Enjoyed the San Pedro blend too (bringing class to Auburn). Location: I like what they've done with the place - what would seem like a no-hope interior inside that mall - they've created something lovely.
Ahwii (and another Turkish place nearby) - seem to be misplaced - as they can quite easily be in the inner west of even the city / Surry Hills (in terms of offerings and internal atmosphere).
Great stuff and would revisit.

Read moreWe came here because the place allegedly won best cafe in 2025 and 2023. The first red flag was there was hardly any customers in the place on a Friday lunchtime. StrangeâŠgiven the awards, but we persisted as the staff were friendly. The second red flag was when our 2 coffees took a long time to arrive & the coffee was as lousy. The third and final red flag was the meals ( burger and turkish eggs) took ages to arrive ( we had to ask the waiter to check on them) and when they finally did arrive - they were inedible ! The whole meal looked & tasted like stuff from the supermarket freezer section. The burgers and chips were dry and disgusting. The Turkish eggs had actually gone cold - how long were they sitting on the bench? We literally took 2 bites and then decided to just walk out. We voiced our concern to the waiter who offered to heat (!)the meal up but we kept on walking as it wasnât worth the risk of food poisoning or haggling over a refund ( nearly $60 for 2) . Itâs disappointing when you go to a place that has poor service & poor food but when they tout themselves as winners of âbest cafeâ award - itâs downright disgusting...
