Gong Cha Bankstown Plaza — Restaurant in Sydney

Today is 24th July 2025, Thursday. This is my first bad experience at this shop. I usually like it. The young boy working was very careless in making my drink. I saw him spill the hot drink on his hand and the cup before he gave it to me. He gave me the hot cup like this (pictured) which looks like a mess. Also, I ordered "little sugar" (my usual order) and he made it with full sugar. It was way too sweet. When I went back and told him this, he lied and said he didn't put any sugar. So I tasted it in front of him again and said this is definitely too much sugar. That's when he agreed to remake it. This time the girl remade his mistake and I remember her from last time. She's a good, careful worker and she made it with little sugar this time. But they still gave me the same dirty cup! The young boy needs extra training. Maybe he doesn't want to be there because his attitude is not good. And he shouldn't lie to customers! I will give you another chance next time. But I hope that boy doesn't...

my go-to place to get fruit teas or milk teas would usually be sharetea, however due to being in the area i decided to come here with a family member.

in terms of the customer service, it’s kind of lacking and i’m suspecting there’s an internal reason. there is barely any enthusiasm shown or any pride taken in their jobs and most of them look worn out or irritated by each other, they don’t look like they get along. it’s not something i particularly blame them for, as being an employee in customer service myself, there could be a bunch of things going on internally within the business. i would highly suggest the owner takes a look into this because i’m concerned about the well-being of these employees.

in terms of the quality of the drinks, it’s just as usual and they taste really good. we specifically ordered a cookie milk tea and a grape green tea. although the evident disadvantages going on, it surprisingly didn’t change the quality of the drinks and we left with...

Ordered Alisan tea with 2 toppings (White and Black Pearls) and Oolong tea with 2 toppings (Aloe Vera and Black pearls). Got charged $1.40 for 2 toppings of each tea. Menu said 2 toppings for $1.20. Brought up with the cashier and she said their system has not yet been updated the new promo price and refused to refund me the difference. She then went straight to the back to avoid arguing with me. Worst customer service ever. I will contact Gongcha Australia in regards to this awful experience.
