This is the worst Grill’d establishment I’ve ever been to! DO NOT GO HERE. And I’ve eaten at quite a few different Grill’d shops in the past and have had no issues like it.
They gave me my burger with an extremely burnt bread bun. So much that I thought it was a fancy charcoal bun until I bit into it and all I could taste was extremely burnt toast. I looked at the bread and it was completely black on the insides and roasted on the outside. I took it back to one of the worker’s and showed him and he took it back to make me a new one. The second one that came out and it was the exact same burger I had but they toasted a new bun top only, left me with the same bottom slice that was also burnt. And this new bun top was just as burnt as the first one. I ended up only eating the contents inside the burger.
We also ordered some zucchini fries to share and were waiting ages on the sauce. I asked about the sauce and he said he’ll get it but he just walked over to grab a cloth and went to clean a random table. There was only one other table with customers in the restaurant at this time so it was a very quiet period. After asking 3 times (our chips going cold) we finally got the sauce. The female staff member put it on the table angrily and didn’t even say anything.
The tables were also extremely sticky inside and outside. The Outside tables and chairs were covered in bird poo with several pigeons around with open doors (we ended up moving outside to inside). There was not even any hand sanitiser available (most restaurants have this these days).
Probably the one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had and makes me question the cleanliness of their cooking facilities based on the state on the customer areas. I’m someone who never leaves bad reviews but I felt I had to because I would not waste my money on this place.
(We visited on 2nd March at about 2.40pm. There was 2 staff working at the time, a young...
Read moreWanted to give an honest take on my first visit to Grill’d. I came in for lunch and dined in since it was quiet—no one else was there. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken burger ($15.90), added fries for $5, and got an extra sauce tub for $1.50. For what you get, I did feel the fries were overpriced—especially since the sauce alone was nearly a third of the price of the fries.
As for the burger, I’d seen reviews mentioning stale buns, and I did experience something similar. I chose the panini bun, which was quite tough and chewy—might stick with the standard bun next time. On the upside, the burger was sauced nicely, and the chicken patty was fried and cooked well. The patty tasted somewhere between processed and natural—not bad, but not amazing either.
Fries came out hot and crispy for the most part, though I did find a couple of stale, cold pieces that seemed like they were from an older batch. Service was decent—the staff checked in on how the meal was going, which I appreciated.
All in all, it was just okay. I can understand why people who order delivery might be disappointed if the food arrives cold or stale. If you’re curious, maybe try dining in instead—it might be a...
Read moreWent in to dine in, one burger was ready far before the second one was, where it was sitting becoming cold on tray before the second one was ready. When I got the burger it was missing 2 main ingredients (which you pay more for). Told the server and he came over and plonked it on the plate without apologising or saying a word. The size of the bacon was an absolute joke, size of 2 coins. Worker was extremely rude and unhelpful. No kind of apology or compensation for getting the order wrong after we nicely let them know. Extremely disorganised young staff with a lot of chatting going on and not much focus on making burgers. Desperately need an experienced manager in there to get things in a working order. Also no kind of table service as I know grilld has the stick system for. Poor...
