A hidden gem tucked away in a quiet suburb. It's got arguably the best Burritos and Tacos i've ever tasted. It's seldom that you come across a combination value, quality and quantity, Gringo's absolutely delivers on all these three marks. You are absolutely sure to leave with your tummy full and feeling like you were given your hard earned money's worth. Their Jalapeño poppers are a marvel, not salty and feels balanced in terms of the guilty pleasure of deep fried food. Smothered burritos are just a thing, also their normal burritos wether in a bowl or in a wrap are just amazing and full of flavor. Every small detail is done right. They make the basic parts of Mexican food come together to give you a truly special dining experience. Basics i.e. rice, salsa, guacamole, tortillas and meat preparation regardless of chicken, prawn, beef, fish or pork. All things worth tasting. I also need to call out the amazing service and attention they give you here. Always a pleasant experience. My 4 year old loves eating here (they have a toy section) but the main reason is the burrito! Is it worth a trek to Putney? of course!

Wow just came from this awesome little Restaurant and loved the freshness and quality of the food and service. We had a chicken burrito and steak nachos a starter if corn chips and guacamole two drinks 47 bux excellent. Starters of the gaucomole with chips was delicious although I did think a bit low on seasoning. The corn chips rocked. So crunchy crisp. I had the steak nachos so good not to be smothered in crappy cheese, really noticeable difference here of quality authenticity. Fresh tasty with beautiful strips of steak salsa beans and again not smothered in sour cream (not that I don’t luv it). My partners burrito was so good and the chicken absolutely delicious. Huge portions. Lovely inside and the guy serving and others gave awesome customer service. I can’t wait to come back for prawn tacos! Adios Amigos!

We had an amazing experience at Gringos, after ordering from them multiple times on DoorDash we decided to go there in person. Even on a Thursday night it was packed, I'd recommend booking! The service was amazing, staff were beyond friendly and accommodating, even continued to serve us even after they closed (at 8pm). When ordering you can choose your protein and sauce spice level as well as additional salsa/corn if desired. We had their Quesadillas and it was packed with filling and super juicy, their Tacos were also delicious! Each serving came with their to-die-for corn chips and guac which we obviously ordered a seperate plate of. This is THE PLACE for Mexican food in the area!

Visited during lunch on a Sunday. First thing to note is the fast and friendly service; next, it’s great value for money; and finally, super fresh ingredients with everything made on the premises. None of the stodginess that you find with some Mexican restaurants…everything was light and incredibly tasty. The jalapeño poppers packed a nice crisp crunch, followed by a little burst of flavour. The nachos featured slow cooked tender beef and the quesadillas were cooked perfectly. If you order too much, they have take away containers for you! Highly recommended.

I have been here now multiple times. Every time the food was amazing. When getting there the first time we have been perfectly explained all different choices and variations of the menu. Burrito, sliders, burger they all taste really good. The Pacifico beer fits perfect to the spicy food. Their signature dessert is the chocolate nachos. These are chocolate cinnamon nachos with ice cream and stone grapes, strawberries and blueberries. Not too sweet just a nice cinnamon flavour. Will go there more often.

We went in before 5pm and there's only us and another table. Took 20+ mins for the food to come out. The pork taco with corn tortillas came out already saturated and broken (see photo), naturally this made it very difficult to eat. Normally I wouldn't mind it as much if the flavour was amazing. It wasn't. There's a lotta raw cabbage/lettuce got thrown on top that simply cannot be called 'salsa'. To be fair, prawns in the prawn tacos were tasty and the corn chips were not half bad.
