Guzman y Gomez - Frenchs Forest — Restaurant in Sydney

I’m a big fan of Guzman y Gomez, but this store is by far the worst I’ve been to! It took 20 minutes to make two Cali Burritos. I placed my order at 8:29pm, and there was only one family dining in. A couple of delivery drivers came and went, and while I noticed they were waiting for chips to cook, that wasn’t the reason for the delay.

The girl making my burritos seemed more interested in chatting with her colleague than actually preparing the food. As it’s an open kitchen, I could see everything happening inside, and it was clear that there was no sense of urgency or care. Not to mention the cleaning products and other items on top of the prep bench, and staff scrubbing the bench while my food was sitting right next to it.

By the time I got my burrito at 8:50pm, the doors were almost closing, even though google says the shop closes at 9:30pm. The way the staff was acting, you’d think they were already late to leave.

Compared to other Guzman y Gomez locations, this one is a complete disappointment. Zero customer service, no visible management, and unacceptable hygiene practices. Definitely the worst experience...

Ordered online. Was very clear NO LETTUCE (I have an allergy bad enough to need an epi pen) but extra cheese

Received 4 tacos not 2. 2 had extra lettuce and no cheese and 1 was all cheese and lettuce. I was regular cheese and no lettuce but I couldn't eat it because it had lettuce all over the outer shell.

Called menu log and they gave me a voucher and I called to try and make sure they don't repeat their mistake.

I have called over 20 times with no-one picking up. I am waiting to see if they will get it right. This was my work farewell lunch and I am the only one not eating. My second order won't arrive until an hour after everyone else's.

Update: it is almost 2 hours since everyone else got their food and I'm still waiting for my food to be delivered. I've called over 30 times to talk to a human at the store so I can actually eat my food. I'm in tears right now.

Update: SECOND ORDER COVERED IN LETTUCE! THIS IS...

Very poor experience yesterday.

My friend and I ordered around about the same time and he got his meal relatively quickly but the staff completely forgot my order and didn't even give me an apology or explanation when I went to the counter myself and politely asked about the status of my order. To top it all off, I waited probably at least 20 minutes before I asked, most people are a lot less patient than me and would've been a lot less polite and forgiving.

Keep in mind, by the time I went up and asked about my order my friend had already eaten ALL of his meal.

The staff clearly are in need of some serious customer service training as when the young girl went to serve my friend his food she just dumped it on the table next to us. Very poor form.

Food itself was pretty average, nothing to write home about. Go next door to chargrill charlies for better food...
