If you’re on the hunt for authentic Hanoi pho, this place is a hidden gem! We indulged in the Hanoi rolling rare beef and beef rib pho, along with some delightful sides like fried fermented pork and flan. To top it off, we sipped on cocoa salted coffee and milk coffee.

The pho was an absolute standout—the broth was incredibly clear yet packed with that deep, authentic beef bone flavor. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a true Hanoi-style pho. The Hanoi rolling rare beef was comfort food at its finest, with tender beef that melted in your mouth. The beef rib pho was equally impressive; the rib was perfectly tender, and the same flavorful broth made it unforgettable.

A real treat was the selection of sauces available. They had a variety of chili sauces and other condiments, allowing you to customize your pho experience, which is such a signature of Hanoi street food culture.

The fried fermented pork was a fun, delicious street food experience—crispy, tangy, and just right. As for dessert, the flan was a classic that didn’t disappoint, smooth and creamy with the perfect caramel finish.

But the coffee? Wow! The cocoa salted coffee and milk coffee were incredibly strong, even by Vietnamese standards. If you’re used to multiple cups of coffee a day, one of these will more than do the job! The rich, bold flavor is something I highly recommend for coffee lovers.

This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Hanoi flavors. Whether it’s the comforting pho or the bold coffee, you’re in for a treat. Can’t...

First thing I noticed the floor was wet as I walked in, there was no signage to indicate wet floor and caution, mind you the floor was slippery as is due to the vinyl flooring throughout the restaurant.

The portions were tiny and they are charging above average price.

I ordered pho and I had to ask for bean sprouts and lemon, which should come complimentary and served with my pho. Also they did not provide herbs/mint or basil.… or did I have to ask for that too from the staff.

There was no condiment plates for dipping sauce, or tea on the table.

Bowls were stained and dirty, I felt the need to use tissue to wipe the bowls down for my kids and upon wiping the tissue was black (not even exaggerating).

Overall, I would say I did not enjoy my experience here. Service was poor, I had to ask for things that I should not have needed to ask and there was no excuse because place was not busy when I dined in. Hygiene was poor.

EDIT: In response to the owner’s comment First of all, thank you for the response it was very professional and polite. Clearly you sound like someone who can’t accept negative feedback, believe me I wouldn’t even think twice to come back neither will I recommend this place to anyone, especially after your lack of professionalism and rude response to my feedback.

If you are going to respond back to my review address all of my concerns, but I didn’t think you had anything to say about your...

Came in with parents to try for first time, but as we walked in...

no service at all

expensive price for each dishes.

looked at the portions and size of the dish from each dining table that diners were already sitting there eating, saw few customers shook their heads when dining. Tells me the food they were eating wasn't good.

came in and had to get the menu ourselves and it's more like a self service than being served by wait staffs.

hot day and was hot inside, no air conditioning for dining comfort.

didn't end up trying after seeing ridiculous prices in the menu, as we entered first time and not being served or attended by waitstaffs or a staff member.

really surprised that they were given 4.4 stars overall review.

from what me and my parents experienced, we would not recommend this place. But those that want to try, I'm not stopping you. Your choice to try but good luck with it

for the price, what are we really paying for?? For example, a bowl of bun no hue is $19!!! Almost at $20, with less portions and medium sized bowl... And no service. Would you pay for this?? I wouldn't. And not with no dining comfort either. Will never come back.

Only good thing I can say about this place is that inside the decor gives a nice traditional Vietnamese ambience Other than that, it's a big NO for me...

Updated review 8/11: I came back to this restaurant to give it another try. Bun Bo Hue soup was nice. But one of the topping was a disappointment. I couldn't believe they would serve this to diner. I didn't even bother complaining cause I already ate and shared half of my noodles with my daughter. Previous review: The first time we dined (busy Sunday lunch) we ordered Phở, bún bò Huế and patechaud. Phở was good but patechaud is not like patechaud I normally have. It should have been puff pastry but it was very dry like shortbread. But Bún Bò Huế was very very good. The beef topping were actually bún bò Huế toppings that I have in Vietnam, the meat was chunky but so tender. I really enjoyed it. It was so good that I had to come back the next day (Monday). And that's when it went down hill. Bún bò Huế soup was still alright, but all I got was the phở toppings served in Bún bò Huế soup. It's very strange. I didn't enjoy it at all. As I still really craved for the BBH I had there the first time. I decided to give it another try (Friday dinner) and fair to say I was really disappointed. Once again I was served phở toppings in BBH soup and the soup almost tastes like phở soup with a hint of lemongrass. 3 times I dined, ordered the same dish and 3 times it tasted and served different, not consistent. Overall food was alright, hit and missed

I went to Taste of Ha Noi (Ha Noi Xua va Nay) with my children. Living in Sydney for more than 10 years we have never had Halal Vietnamese food but found this place on instagram and decided to try it. As we entered, it felt like I had jumped into a portal and stepped out from Bankstown straight into Vietnam. Every corner of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. I couldn't even take enough pictures to do it justice. Now the food, it was heart warming and touched our souls. We tried to order a variety of dishes but 3 of them turned out to be noodle soups. If you are unfamiliar with Vietnamese cusine please make sure to take an expert with you as there is definitely a language barrier with the staff. But their smiles and the warm welcome more than made up for it. Definitely a must visit if you have never tried authentic Vietnamese Food.
