Great place to sit and have a drink. Wonderful view. Great room and deck area. Wheelchair accessibility from the carpark to the restaurant via a lift. The shared entrees we had were delicious ( antipasto platter and calamari), but the rest was well below average. Service was extremely quick. 3 dishes and sides arrived in less than 5 minutes . The garlic prawns were grilled prawns sans garlic. Served on a huge bed of arugula (which I love), but the arugula was very oily. The lamb dish was meant to have a red wine jus, it had a very generous amount of gravy instead and was more suited to the meal of the day at the local RSL. It was not tasty, so wasn't eaten. The chicken salad Was pre plated and had reheated lukewarm chicken placed on top. The porchetta was also reheated and very dry. Hot chips were freshly fried. A side dish of arugula salad was not touched as it was over loaded with oil. I understand we are going thru hard times, but this meal was very disappointing. Second time around 8 months later (August 2022) Entrees still great. Service still quick . Staff friendly. Mains still not great Sept 2023- second time visiting this new iteration. Food and service has totally picked up and along with the fabulous views, it is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Staff are really attentive and busy doing things

We are from the Sutherland Shire and took our passports out to go over Tom Ugly’s bridge customs out of the Shire to have lunch with our evolved inner west friends that we spruke about, to ensure we are not seen as insular from the peninsular regulars. There was food we recognised on the menu, arancini and barramundi for example that was not a foreign language to understand and melded with our tastebuds. The wine was plentiful, even from faraway places like Italy. Our table was right on the fringe of the verandah where we could see the shopping trolleys near Montage in the water with the low tide. We were a bit puzzled about the 10% surcharge on everything being applied but thankfully we have Apple Wallet down in the Shire and just booked our lunch up to crime, and kept drinking. For a lunch that was booked for 1pm, and we were all late, even our trendy friends who walked from their palatial Leichhardt home, weren’t aware of pedestrian diversions, however, I digress, despite eating later than expected we all had a fabulous time and left just after 5pm thanks to those decidedly inconvenient things called children beckoning. Lovely meal, lovely outlook, nice service. Food slow to arrive but when you are dining with hip people from the inner west there is always plenty to talk about and meander over 🍴😊✔️

The overall experience is really uncomfortable, it seems that the manager is showing discrimination to us, maybe is because of we are Asians, or maybe we have a born Chinese face. From the beginning one of the staff told me they are fully booked, if you want to you must book in advance or maybe on another day, and give us a name card, we get out and walk downstairs, get two cups of coffee, and checked online, sure we can book now or 15minutes later, or 1 hour later, two hours later, a deposit is required. Once again, we waited in the reception, and were asked to give the staff additional 10 minutes cleaning process. Sure, that' fine. Another two guests waited after us, and they haven't booked as well. One staff told that they are fully booked, and went inside to assist cleaning, therefore, I give the name card and told them they can book it online, because I just booked 10 minutes ago. But, supprisingly, I heard the manager or the lady who weard a white dress , answering the phone,'We were fully booked' and after she finished the phone, she took these two guests in directly without any bookings. As it was to celebrate my birthday, we requested a window table online. But still, she gave us an outside table, but not close to the view, told us the table was reserved, but actually ridiculous, that table was given to an old couple who were just walked in. I cannot tell what experience we should have, and I saw a few people walked around or taking photoes or playing with child. Everywhere, every corner. I wish they had a CCTV camera, then they can have a look. After we finished our brunch, we would like to take some photos at the end. Unbelievable, the manger walking towards to us and told us "you can not walk around." I really cannot understand, if it is protecting the safety, why you did not mention it from the beginning, and do not allow others to come to our surroundings, please be fair and respect to eveyone, so we saw other people took photoes everywhere as they wish because the manager did not see it. But we cannot, because the manger just only see we are crossing. We don't k now what to say, we have no words, but bad emotions due to the service or the staff? No kindness, even no respect. If you are the manager who saw this review, then that's really good and fine good that you have read, because I am telling the truth, which I haven't finished yesterday. To finish the argument, we just don't want to talk with you any more to let us down. I have never been to a club which serves people in this way, you had broaden my eyes, and I will try to ask more people to understand what you had done and try to experience a bad journey in your restaurant. If you really don't welcoming any Chinese, just let more people know. By the way, nice view, you are more likely to take good photos if you are Australians.

I came here with a large group event for lunch. Great views and easy process to get in and seated. Great aesthetics and staff were very accommodating and helpful. (Saved review) But the good things stopped there. The food was definitely below average. They started with oysters. They were okay but had a little intriguing taste in the palette. The main was beef (cooked well and good portion - saving grace to the review), the salmon main was bland but large portion. The Panna Cotta was okay and edible but the fruit compote was made with spoilt fruit (the date syrup and pieces were a good addition as they over powered the spoilt fruit). You could smell it. This should have been picked up in the kitchen or the waiter could see I had lifted it to the bowl rim. The chips when brought out had an odour. This odour made it obvious that the oil used for the chips had been reheated and reused multiple times. If you could block your nostrils, the crunch and taste was great. The Scotch and Dry, Lychee Martini and Espresso Martini were definitely not to service level. The lychee just tasted like sugar water with fruit syrup. It was a waste of money. The espresso Martini just tasted like an iced coffee. For 18.00 cocktails, definitely can't taste any alcohol, only sugar and definitely not worth the money.

Thank you for creating a very special 70th birthday for my Dad! From the very first conversation with Rachel (the wonderful venue manager at the Rowers), she really took the stress out of organising the event by consistently showing great care and attentiveness to the plan for the day. I really appreciated her “nothing is too hard” approach, flexibility with changes (including unexpected adjustments because of COVID) and the many options we had in the diverse menu (which included adjustments to some dishes, delicious vegan/vegetarian alternatives for some of the guests and a great kids menu!) On the day, staff were so warm and caring to all guests (a special call out to Alanna and Rachel!) We chose the 2-course set menu - the servings were very generous and the food was so authentic and fresh. We especially loved the flavoursome Arancini balls, barramundi and lamb ragu. An array of options for wine & cocktails at the bar too. And, of course, the beautiful setting / views, which added to the amazing atmosphere of the venue! Will definitely be visiting again and again! Thank you!

Came here after lunch rush which was less busy & was seated straight away outside. It was a little windy so they weren't able to put the shades up due to safety issues. Ordered food which took around 30 minutes. We didn't really notice for a while as we were soaking up the sun with drinks. The mojito was a tad bit too bitter for my liking. The duo of dips were presented beautifully & dips were nice. The calamari was a small portion for $20 and couldn't really taste the chilli however it tasted good & it wasn't over cooked. The beans were flavoured well. The cheese pizza was something we could've done without (as we ordered quite alot) the base was a bit too doughy. Overall this is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the views over some food and drinks on a sunny day.
