The shared love for dogs creates an atmosphere of camaraderie that's hard to find anywhere else. It's truly heart-warming to see pets and their owners mingling, exchanging stories, and building bonds. The staff at Cafe Bones deserves a special mention. They are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and attentive. They take the time to engage with both customers and their four-legged companions, making everyone feel welcome and valued. Read moreWhilst location is wonderful for dogs, I found the staff and food to be wanting. My table ordered a naked chicken burger, a naked beef burger and a beef burger. The chicken was found to be cold and very very dry. Both naked burgers, are the same price as a normal burger, which is not value for money as the don’t have any food bun. Additionally puppy snacks such as pupffins(dog muffins) and pupachino’s (a bowl of milk with a powder sprinkled over it) are extremely over priced. The staff (and this is professional criticism), were not friendly or accommodating. When asked what is the sprinkle powder on the pupachino, it is suggested that they not roll their eyes at you and and answer in a tone that indicates that it is an effort to answer saying ‘don’t know’. Furthermore, when asked what type of pupffins are available, don’t point to an empty basket in front of you and say ‘there they are’, and then when the customer points out that it’s empty, don’t say ‘uhhh’, and storm off and grab some from out the back. The staff present on Sunday 17 December 2023, should have a large amount of professional embarrassment, for their lack of...
Read moreThe Good: Café Bones Leichhardt is a dream for dog lovers! It’s not just a dog-friendly café—it’s a full-on pup paradise with a fantastic dog menu, from muffins to treats, plus plenty of space for off-leash fun. The staff are always friendly, and the park itself is well-maintained with poo bags readily available. The atmosphere is great, with well-behaved dogs and owners, and the canal running alongside adds to the charm (even if my pup did take an unexpected swim—thankfully, he found his way back!).
The Room for Improvement: Not much to complain about here! The only slight challenge is if your dog is a little too adventurous (like mine) and takes an impromptu dip in the canal, but that’s all part of the fun, right?
Would I Return? Absolutely! Whether for a coffee, a treat for the pup, or a stroll along the Bay Run, Café Bones Leichhardt is a regular go-to.
The Verdict: In conclusion, if you have a dog (or just love them), Café Bones is a must-visit. Great vibes, happy pups, and a fantastic spot to relax while your furry friend enjoys some...
