I was very upset and offended how staff treated our family. We made a reservation for special occasion where 3 families were gathered. First once we were directed to our table we had to wait long time for someone to take our orders. We even picked all the menu and walked up to one of staff who walked away, and another who walked past with body language saying one moment. We been to so many restaurants and we understand sometime they are busy with helping other customers. So we waited and waited and we kept walking up to bar and cashier area and seems like noone is ready to serve us.. Finally one staff came by, and the facial and body language of that person wasn't welcoming or happily to serve us. As staff started taking our orders, our orders were pretty big and we could see the attitude slowly changing. Not sure if the all the staff had a bay day or whatever, but the time we went it wasn't the peak hour, pretty empty tables. Anyways all the foods came out really fast and foods were okay, had better taste from different hurricane locations. So this is where we were very offended.
One of our family member paid and we were all walking out. And I was second last one to leave when the cashier or person in charge stopped us with bit of uneasy face saying we didn't paid for our food. Then I said we did, and staff just repeated that we didn't paid. This is when other staff were kinda surrounded us…because we felt circled as if were going to run away….so I left one of family member to stay at the counter to reassure that cashier, went out to grab a family who informed bills were paid. I really thought we didn’t pay because the way cashier was talking. Family member who have paid walked back to restaurant with receipt showing paid with tips…. And cashier were still not in belief until receipts are thoroughly checked….we had other customers looking at us..And cashier confirmed that bill was paid, there was no apologies. I could clearly see nervous face but he continued or more like pretend to do other staff on the screen… and said we have paid the bills. With no apologies we had to walk out. We didnt want to make a scene because there was lot of younger kids at the time we were walking out. I thought that these racial acts were seen only through social media, and very shocked to be at the same shoe of others. I mean this is all coming from our perspective but I really hope they do serve every customer with same level of judgement and care to avoid...

A dinner here is very expensive and when you book you expect at least good service,l and respect...we used to come here almost every week but recently I would not recommend this Tourist Trap to my international friends.
I was bullied, initimidated and embarrassed by the front of house server 'Florencia' ... not exactly the definition of 'hospitality'. Staff talk over you and down to you when making a booking, never apologise for bad service or mistakes that happen.
I was abused for making an incorrect booking for a table of 8 when only 6 could make it as the other two members of the party were sick. Not only abused but 'scolded' in front of my family is how I would describe the attitude of the staff on on the 24th August 2022; it was almost as if they wanted a SICK diner to attend and infect the restaurant to make more money.
If you want a relaxed, happy vibe don't come here, the seating densities have also increased a lot lately so you feel like a squished in sardine hitting your elbows at the next diner...
If you want a stressful, angry, hostile and rushed environment, I would encourage a booking at this venue as that is what I experienced and you will too.
Sad because Hurricanes used to be a local favourite but they're going down the gurgler, so to speak, no wonder all their other venues are closing down and they only have Bondi, Ryde and somewhere in Queensland. The empire is toxic.
Have been here a number of occasions and the service is five star, all the staff are so happy and the food is faultless. You don't mind paying a little more than nearby places for a faultless experience every time....

I recently had an extremely unpleasant dining experience at hurricane grill and bar and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. From the moment I arrived, I was met with aggressive behavior from the waitress, which set the tone for the entire evening. Her unwelcoming attitude was evident when I was simply sitting outside while waiting for my mother. Instead of providing any assistance or basic courtesy, she rudely reprimanded me for my choice and made me feel unwelcome.
As if that was not enough, when I eventually found my group and asked if we could move a table slightly to accommodate our party of seven, the waitress scolded us like children. It was astonishing to witness such an unprofessional and hostile response to a simple request. We had already placed our orders and were ready to enjoy our meal, but her aggressive behavior left a sour taste in our mouths.
Adding insult to injury, the restaurant's atmosphere was far from pleasant. The music blared at an uncomfortably high volume, making it nearly impossible to hold a conversation without shouting. It greatly detracted from any enjoyment we might have had. Furthermore, the overpowering stench of urine permeated the entire establishment, completely destroying any appetite we had left.
Overall, my experience at hurricane grill and bar was nothing short of a disaster. The waitress's aggressive attitude, combined with the excessive noise and unpleasant odor, created an inhospitable environment that left me regretting my decision to dine there.
