Jailhouse Rock Pizza — Restaurant in Sydney

Note if you are order a PRAWN PASTA it is an extra $5 from what is listed on the menu as at Sept 2017. They do add a lot of prawns. This caused confusion at the bill payment time. I paid the bill in full including the extra $5 but when I asked about the price variation. Two staff were kind and patient but the older male was aggressive and confronting. At this point I had already paid in full so I felt the reaction was uncalled for. They have three A4 signs on the walls that tell you this, but I was sitting right at the back facing the kitchen and did see any signs, until they were aggressively pointed out to me after I had paid the bill. I feel that if a dish is $5 more than the menu price they should mention this when you order the dish. Even better update the menus to include the correct price.

The pasta dishes were nice. The pizza has lots of stretchy cheese. Decor is Elvis themed and looking tired and old in need of an update. Drinks are in the fridge at the front of the restaurant and start from $3 a can. Before we paid the bill they could see we had a lot of left overs and they offered and did packaged the food up into takeaway containers which was nice. We ordered four drink but also asked for tap water which we didn't get.

This pizza was a classic in our household! My household have been coming here for years and years very loyal and happy customers, we loved this place as it's just down the road. We choose this joint because they do good gluten free bases. Now as someone with celiac disease would definitely be able to differentiate the difference between a normal base and a GF base. Taste/texture and of course the body reactions that happen after eating gluten... Now they made a pizza with non GF base which is FINEEE no issues the problem was when we took it back asking for an actual GF base the service said no and said that was the GF base but it wasn't. My household will no longer come to this venue because we felt de valued and didn't understand why the server didn't amand their mistake. I'm happy to change this review if there is any solution. Been living close (3 blocks close) to this pizzaria and only now I got my first pizza there, a pickup order. I put on my mask right before entering the shop, since I am a responsible customer. The owner made fun of me for wearing a mask. I was wearing a mask because we're in the middle of a pandemic, BLS Hurricane Grill has had COVID-19 cases over the last week, and I am concerned about transmission - mostly for other people in the community, since I am young and fit. The owner, an old, rude person, was full of jokes and I asked him to stop. That's when his attitude changed and went from ironic to full on rage mode on ME, a CLIENT, wearing a MASK for the sake of OLD PEOPLE like himself.
