Do better Bay Vista! I had a $100 voucher to spend between 2 people and when I went up to the counter to place my order I was asked eat-in or takeaway. I had hoped I could take-away some cakes as I want to just wanted to have a savoury meal. But when I mentioned I had a voucher and wanted to takeaway some cakes I was told that wasn’t allowed. Nowhere on the voucher does it say no takeaway allowed. Seemed like a ridiculous rule as the voucher is paid for and I saw other people with take-away. It’s not like I’m taking alcohol off the premises. So I was forced to order desserts to dine in. I ordered 1 dessert and asked if it was possible to delay the dessert as I had ordered savoury crepes and spanakopita. I was told it wasn’t possible as the order just gets sent to the kitchen and as it’s busy it comes out when it’s ready but the cashier made out that the dessert would probably be delayed and come out later anyway. It’s ludicrous that for an established restaurant you can’t have staff communicate with the kitchen for such requests. Maybe you should try table service. As I had to use my whole voucher as change wasn’t given I ended up ordering 2 desserts. Only a few minutes after I placed my order the desserts came out. I laughed to my partner as if it was a joke and had to tell the waitress why is my dessert coming out first. I ordered a sticky date and apple crumble and both had been heated up and with ice cream. I had the smallest table which weren’t going to even fit 5 dishes on it. Needs to be a bit more common sense here. The waitress took the desserts back to the kitchen for later and then our savoury crepes came with our spanakopita. I have nothing positive to say about the food. The dressing on the salad was too overpowering and not enjoyable at all. Spanakopita was unevenly cooked. Music is way too loud. The only positive was the sweet waitress who bought our desserts back with a smile and...
Read moreHi everyone,
i need to tell you about my experience tonight. I attended this restaurant for a lovely night with my mother. Between 6-7pm on the 30th of June. We ordered the choc-berry crepes with a cappuccino & hot chocolate on the side. We sat on the far right in front of the door entry at the bottom of the stair case that goes up. The worker came to us “sorry you need to move because we need the tables for 15 people who are coming” we were trying to enjoy our night. And then I replied to him “there was no reserve on the table” obviously I needed to move because honestly I had no choice. So I got up and he took a while to initiate the fact that he should carry our plate not me. So we moved.
The crepe was under cooked, and we had to scrape the chocolate to taste it.
Our hot beverages didn’t come until he moved us and the lady was waiting at our new table. Meaning, we started eating the crepe before our hot beverage as well…
We walked past the place 30-60mins after we left and there was one girl sitting on the table and the tables were empty WITH NO RESERVE TAG ON THE TABLES STILL.
The waitress removed everything from the table as soon as we’d place it on the table after we finish the dish or drink. I understand that it’s her job, however, I felt like she wanted us out of the restaurant as soon as possible.
I felt extremely disrespected definitely never coming to this restaurant ever again! If you want to have your own organisation in the restaurant then place a person to seat the customers instead of moving them rudely as their trying to eat and enjoy their time. This is my first ever review for a restaurant and that says a lot about my experience. And my mother was also disappointed shes been to a thousand restaurants in her lifetime and has never complained like this! Don’t come to this restaurant with this horrible customer service making customers...
Read moreIve been here many times in the last few months with my partner since we drive past it so often. This is definitely one of the most satisfying and filling dessert places i've visited. I came here pretty often during the peak covid times so most of my orders were takeaway.
The presentation of the place is pretty, and has plenty of seats for dine-ins. Wait staff are usually nice but they look stressed a lot of time tbh, and the counter staff are always spot on too, never had a problem. Peak times are always at night and on fridays through sunday, which get ridiculously busy and littered with P platers. Definitely better off popping in on a weekday afternoon or night
We always get the chocbery crepe and strawbana waffles whenever we go there now, since it appeals to us the most. The prices they charge may seem pricey at the time but it is definitely worth, since portions are so large that you'd definitely come out of this full and satisfied af. The strawbana waffles are always on point, and looks just as good as it tastes. I've probably had the waffles for the past 3 times ive visited here, and the quality has always been consistent. They are always baked well and blends perfectly with the fruits, and the sauce of your choice, which is milk chocolate in my case. The strawberries and bananas are never in shortage, and given in plentiful amounts. You cannot never go wrong with this one.
I've also tried the Inca Gold before, which was priced a little bit more than the waffles. It was definitely not as satisfying as the waffles however, since the portions had looked smaller and the majority of it was ice cream. Nonetheless, theres nothing wrong with trying new things and it was pretty tasty.
Definitely one of my goto spots for dessert in the whole of sydney, since the many others ive been to does not even compare to what this...
