Located at 6 Cowper Wharf Roadway, Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia ๐ฆ๐บ This is such a wonderful and historic place to come, even if itโs just for a walk. I have been several times now and have always enjoyed returning. The views are fantastic with the Naval Facilities on Garden Island on one side and the Gardens and homes on the other. The sculptures along the boardwalk and inside the wharf help to make the visit even better. I love to come just for the sculptures sometimes. Itโs great to just wander from one sculpture to another and just look and appreciate each one. If you wanted to you could enjoy a walk from the wharf around to Mrs Macquaries Chair, The Domain, The Botanical Gardens , The Opera House and beyond. The wharf has several renowned restaurants if you wanted to dine there including OTTO Ristorante, China Doll and more. Thereโs also the Ovolo Hotel where you can actually stay in the wharf. The Wharf is also Heritage Listed and was a former passenger terminal where it acted as a staging point for troop deployment to the World Wars as well as a disembarking point for migrants to Australia ๐ฆ๐บ. It was also a wharf where it mainly handled the export of wool. It was built from 1910-1915 by the Sydney Harbour Trust and designed by Henry D. Walsh. The property is now owned by Transport For NSW and the structure is the longest timbered-piled wharf in the world ๐. Today, as well as the restaurants and the hotel, the wharf also has residential apartments. Itโs a really upscale area now, very expensive to live and the restaurants are quite pricy. Saying this, itโs very nice. I really like it. There is parking ๐ ฟ๏ธ but if busy, can fill quick. Or you can get a bus ๐. I would definitely recommend a visit. A Thumbs Up...

In fact the building ( inside and out) as well as area leading to the apartments at the back of the hotel were all very clean.
Friendliness; when I came in via the reception area, the front desk receptionist for Ovolo were all smiling, very convivial and friendly. I made enquiries as to costs and the Checkin staff gave a good description of the cost of rooms and the inclusions, parking, and the reasons why ovolo is the place to stay when you are residing in Woolloomooloo.๐๐ฝ
Covid 19 protocols; unfortunately none of the staff were wearing masks there were no signs indicating 1.5 m distancing or any signage to provide information regarding covid-19 at the front desk ( ovolo reception ). Covid-19 is very important and all businesses must display adequate signage easy for the public to see. This is the main reason I voted the reception area of the Finger Wharf of the ovolo hotel a 3 out of 5.
Facilities; Excellent location and close to the botanic gardens and a 15/ 25 minute stroll to the opera house. Finger Wharf restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. Very good location and safe and close to public transport.
Overall; I rate the Finger Wharf a good location, didn't look at the rooms or eat at the restaurants on this occasion. May come back and review the Ovolo rooms and Fingerwharf restaurants at a later date.
