A day in Bankstown wouldn't be complete without Japanese for lunch. As we entered we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. We were directed to order via the QR menu and it was a breeze to navigate. We did make one error with our other with the Sushi we chose. The staff quickly made the change for us, and it updated in real time on the phone showing our current order. This was reassuring and wish more restaurants with QR menus had this live order feature. Takoyaki came out along with the mixed Sushi board. The Takoyaki was perfectly cooked and packing umami with every bite. Delicious. The sushi was fresh and the size was generous. No issues here, everything melted in the mouth and nothing was chewy or had an overly fishy taste. Great Sushi. Now for the main event, the Ramen. One Chashu and one Black Garlic. The noodles were bouncy with a great chew. They absorb a great amount of the broth. The Chashu was perfectly cooked. Great flavour, not too fatty and not dry. Some of the best Chashu we've had in Ramen. The broth with both versions were packing mad flavour. Umami having a party in your mouth. If you don't drink the whole bowl are you really living? Nothing was left every drop was consumed. Also the egg was perfectly cooked. Best egg in Ramen in all of Sydney. Nothing comes close. Overall great value, great food and experience. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend you give them a go. You won't regret it.

**Review of Kaminari Restaurant in Bankstown** Kaminari in Bankstown is a hidden gem that offers delicious food at reasonable prices. The quality of the dishes is impressive, with flavors that truly satisfy without breaking the bank. The pricing is fair and well-matched to the portion sizes, making it great value for money. One of the standout features of Kaminari is the hospitality. The owner is incredibly friendly, charming, and always eager to make sure you have a great dining experience. This personal touch adds warmth to the place, making you feel welcome every time. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and hygienic environment to enjoy your meal. Whether you’re dining alone or with friends, the space is inviting and pleasant. Conveniently located within the Western Sydney University campus, Kaminari is a perfect spot for students and locals alike. If you’re looking for a combination of great food, affordable prices, and excellent service in a cozy atmosphere, Kaminari is definitely worth a visit. I’ll certainly be returning soon!

Food was amazing and the service was exceptional from when the moment we walked through the door 🥹 Would recommend booking by calling for larger groups. It’s a relatively new restaurant but the popularity has skyrocketed, with long waiting times on Saturday. I couldn’t really fault any of the dishes we ordered! My personal favourites were the aburi scallop, salmon sashimi, agedashi tofu, spicy pork (not pictured) and teriyaki beef. Personally, I didn’t find that the spicy oysters were spicy at all but they were very fresh. The service was super attentive. They were able to accommodate our request for a larger table, i.e. 6ppl table for 5 ppl instead of 4ppl table. It was a cold day so we really appreciated it when the owner also offered us miso soup on the house. Honestly, it felt like he really cared about the customers 🙏 I highly recommend this restaurant, so go check it out! It seemed that the closest parking for dinner is on Civic Drive and walking up the stairs.

Went there again for the 3rd time last night, just to find that the Ramen was so bad. The noodle and broth were not hot enough, just warm. And the taste of the broth is awfully bland. Tried the other ramen's broth, the same, tasteless. The chicken karage was good, but the waitress was dumbly asked if we need rice while we had already ordered 2 ramen for 2 pax? Overall, the experience was bad. Message to the owner, please maintain your food consistency. You can't hire a cook who does not know how to just taste the broth. Went there again for the second time after a year. The food has improved so much. The chicken karage was good, well marinated, generous serving and well cooked/fried. The sashimi plater was generous and at great price too. The ramen is ok just a bit small serving. Overall, it is a good come back meal. Happy to give 4.5☆ --------‐--- Very nice ambience dining area, location-wise, very convenient di the heart of Bankstown CBD. Service was good. Food should say so-so, not up to real Japanese standard. Ordered Chicken Karage, half comes good, the other half was from previous cooking. Obvious from the taste, half juicy and very hot, the other half, dark-dry and just warm. The Pork Misho Chasu Ramen, the noodle is very hot (good), the soup just warm (bad) and the broth...very salty, too much miso? (really bad!!!) The sashimi was good, fresh and overall food's servings: generous. Need lots of improvement. Will give...
