KFC Lidcombe — Restaurant in Sydney

Decided to try out the new store after they knocked down the old and original store, bad move. Although, the building looked nice, walked into the store and was nearly knocked off our feet by the extremely loud music and even louder in the toilets. I do not know who was the interior designer but they should find someone else. The glass divid definitely separate the customer from the staff member. if you are short you speak to the glass, if you are tall you get the speak there the glass gap. The over all feel of the place just let me cold. Toilets are unisex and do not have any locks and are not maintained. Was told a male happened to walk in on a women and luckily she has just finished, could have been a bad situation. Meal - one of the worst experience for a KFC, had to wait 15 minutes, I guest poor planning by management in relation to quantity required and when (5.45 pm). Food quality - though we had to wait more that 15 minutes after ordering, the quality was also very poor. Over cooked chips and extremely salty, Chicken also over cooked made, they forgot to give me my potato & gravy (family feast pack) and only discovered when we go home. After eating some of the chicken due to starving and was not going back to KFC just for gravy, felt sickly later, perhaps too oily or something. Staff and mention in previous feedback are young and need good management to guide and train. Do not place kids with kids when running a fast food takeaway, bound to be issues (see above) No telephone on receipt, had to google to call and complain. Brace yourselves for my epic tale of culinary misadventures at KFC - and it’s happened to me a number of times at the same store. I had the distinct pleasure of placing an order for their 21-piece original recipe meal along with a 10-pack of wicked wings. A match made in fast-food heaven, or so I thought!

My expectations were shattered when I dared to ask for no wings in my original recipe feast, naively assuming that my additional wicked wing purchase would grant me that luxury. Oh, how mistaken I was! The male staff member who took the drive thru order promptly enlightened me about their sacred store policy, which apparently states that the original recipe must include wings, even if you're splurging on wicked wings too. His exact words were “we can’t guarantee that”. Didn’t have a choice, agreed and drove to pick up. The female staff member who gave me my order looked me directly in the eyes and said “we only put four wings with the original recipe”.

I get home, eager to enjoy my chicken extravaganza with my family, open the meal, only to discover that the universe had conspired against me. Lo and behold, not four, not five, but a whopping seven wings were lurking within my 21-piece box! KFC, you truly outdid yourself this time!

What can I say? I'm genuinely touched by their dedication to providing more wings than one could ever possibly desire. Bravo, KFC! Your audacity to exceed expectations knows no bounds. I shall cherish this unforgettable experience as a cautionary tale for future generations. Five stars for making me rethink my love for chicken wings and one for playing games with customers.

I don't give franchises 5 star but this place when we visited was smooth, claim and the freshest out of the vat chicken I've had.

The restaurant was so clean and tables wiped and floors swept. We arrived around 730pm on a Thursday night. Hot outside and nice and Cooled with AC inside. We ordered our food sat down and then it was called and there were no missing items. 5 for the service and staff because as we sat eating this yumm fresh KFC the service never faulted. Everyone served the same efficient fast way. The staff were so quick on the orders that even the customers couldn't recognise their order name when called. There was 1 customer left and they were calling his name he put on his order and he stood looking at them and the lady said I think this is yours after calling the name 4 times. He repeated it and she said yes honestly haven't seen this in a long time. Staff were cleaning when. I orders came in through drive through and made sure lobby was wiped cleaned and rubbish away. We ordered 6 chicken pieces 6 hot wings small chips and gravy. Everything including the chips were delicious and fresh. It was so hot we ate the skin of the drum and it all slide off leaving the flesh glistening white and cooked through. Never had that happen before at KFC. My husband made a point that this will now be where we go to sit in and eat KFC which is a big call as he doesn't usually like sitting in at places. It today you impressed him so much.
