Korean Japanese Restaurant on the main street in concord.

After looking at the photos posted on their website, I was looking forward to reading her. Arrived and was seated inside promptly. Ordered the Wagyu Beef Meal set (with rice and salad), The medium sized inside out California roll (8 pcs), the tempura prawns with rice (don), and 3 hot green teas. The waiter said he would bring a large pot of tea to make things easier. We agreed.

I asked if I could order their signature lion king roll, but asked if I could get fresh salmon instead of the cooked tuna. The waiter walked off before I could even finish and said it might cost more. He came back and said No, so we didn't order the lion king roll. He brought out the pot of tea and we stayed pouring it into our cups. The pot of tea was only filled half way and wasn't enough to fill all 3x cups. We called over another waitress and asked her to refill the pot for us and that we would like it filled all the way. We mentioned to the waiter that we were sharing our food and so he brings out one small empty plate (for a table of 4!)

Shortly after, the California rolls arrived. The taste was dissapointing. Note that there was no fish in it (other than the crab stick and roe) but it tastes like the seafood was definitely been out for a few days. The wagyu meal came out next. The meat was OK and well marinated. The quality of wagyu was poor and marbelling was non existent. The tempura prawns was perhaps the best dish out of the 3. The prawns were not fresh, but the batter was thin and crisp.

Overall, it was rather disappointing and I don't...

First time eating here. 3 stars for service 5 stars for the food.Wasn't to sure going in considering all the other restaurants in the area including next door were full and this was near empty. But we have it a go. Firstly staff could have been a little more enthusiastic. The girl just pointed to a table then brought us the menus a few minutes later. The table and the restaurant was clean and well presented. She came to get our order, didn't ask if we wanted any drinks just brought us a bottle of water. We ordered the large sashimi plate and grilled salmon with prawn dumplings as an entre. All the food we had was really good and can't fault it much. It was well presented and fresh and tasty. The large sashimi plate really isn't large if I had to fault anything. I would go back for the food, but they really need to focus on customers. It's not hard to take someone to the table with the menus. Ask them for a drink, set out the plates for them. Come and ask them during the meal, how are...

For whoever is reading the reviews and wondering what actually happened

Thank you for your response, but I’m quite surprised and disappointed that my experience has been misrepresented.

To clarify: your staff never mentioned that changing the salad would come with an extra charge — if they had, I would have simply decided whether to go ahead or not. There was no anger or upset from my side. I politely asked if the salad could be changed and was told no, with no alternative offered. I even asked to see the menu again to consider ordering something else, but eventually decided not to. We then calmly walked to the counter, paid for our drinks, and left.

My review was an honest reflection of my experience, just as it was for my friend. It’s unfortunate that instead of acknowledging a communication gap, the response from the business was to accuse us of dishonesty and bad behavior — which simply...

Feeling like Japanese can be risky when out this way (and close to home), but this place exceeded all expectations and was a very satisfying Japanese cuisine experience. We ordered the salmon lovers sushi, which was probably a little pricey for what you get, but can’t complain about the quality. Also had a salmon roll, which was very tasty and full of salmon too. Then to finish it all, we had the Chanko Nabe (sumo soup), which was also tasty and full of ingredients, but could’ve been better if it was served on a hot plate or stove. Overall a very good experience and the food was great. They also had a deal where patrons are given a small serving of sake if you spend more than $70. The restaurant also has outdoor seating and is dog friendly.
