I hate leaving one star reviews, especially when I have previously had great experiences here. As a local regular, this evening I encouraged some visitors from out of Sydney to have some sushi here for dinner.

The experience tonight was abysmal. Pathetic and bordering on non-existant service. Nobody took our orders, we ended up realising we had to order over the QR code. We then had to wait an hour for a can of coke and a bottle of $4 Woolworths brand sparkling water come out.

Fast forward around two-hours later. We are still missing a bento box. Tables of people around us had come, ordered, eaten and left. We were fed up and decided to leave, only to have a lady say that the bento was now ready and that we were basically inconveniencing her by not wanting to take the bento because she’d now have to throw it out.

There was absolutely no explanation provided as to why the service was so poor or why everyone around us, who had arrived after us, were receiving bentos and we were being ignored. Also, it seemed like our table was the only one that didn’t have table service? Moreover, there was no apology or even marginal attempt to rectify the situation. We still paid for everything, we were not offered a discount, an...

Majors Bay Sushi – A Dining Experience to Remember

Four of us visited Majors Bay Sushi, and it exceeded all our expectations! The sashimi was exquisitely fresh, with a subtle sweetness that showcased its top-notch quality. Each piece was a testament to the chef’s expertise and attention to detail.

One of our friends is vegan, and we were delighted to find that Majors Bay Sushi offers an impressive variety of vegan options as well. It’s not always easy to find a place that caters to diverse dietary needs so thoughtfully.

The service was exceptional – attentive, friendly, and professional. Combined with the inviting ambiance, it made for a wonderful evening.

If you’re looking for fresh sashimi and a restaurant with excellent vegan choices, Majors Bay Sushi is a must-visit.

Tip: Don’t hesitate to ask about their seasonal specials – the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about...

I ordered takeaway, and first of all the portions were tiny definitely not worth the money i paid for and taste was average definitely not worth what you’re paying for. Second they had a promotion where they said if you spend over $50 you get free chick katsu, and obviously i spent over $50 but i didnt know they had this event cause i ordered over the phone, but once i arrived i could see it cause they had the promotion written all over in the front of there store, so i asked the manager boss whoever was working there if i could get the katsu but she said because i was getting takeaway the promotion didnt apply to me and she said you shouldve told me when you called up. How the hell was i supposed to know the promotion is on absolute terrible service never going again. If you’re going to have overpriced average sushi at least have some common sense and good...

After having sushi at a all you can eat place with mediocre quality, this is simply delicious. Having the Sushi deluxe 24pcs and the King Salmon Mania Roll was the best decision ever. The sushi deluxe set even includes lean tuna and Uni, the sea urchin! The amount of rice versus fish is good too. When we got in, we directly got some miso soup on the house, and after ordering drinks we got free sake too (with refill!). We took the warm sake, since it was a bit chilly inside because the door was open. After this delicious feast we were exited to order the large seafood basket too. On the bottom of this basket you'll find chips, topped with tempura battered fish fingers, calamari, crab and prawn. A good deal, but oh so much food! It was actually too much but delicious. I would like to come back again!

This place has a 4.9 rating and I know why...the quality of sushi should be way more $$$ only $25.50 (owners - doesn't mean reading this the price should go up because of my review.... ) The price's low the turnover will follow..😘 Update The review above was after covid a year ago approx. Advertised time shows they close at 10 pm but at 9:30pm they won't let you in, does the owner know this I'm sure he doesn't so they lose out on business. Quality has changed definitely not the same, salmon and avocado roll was like chunky off cuts of the worst cut salmon from an inexperienced so called sushi chef.. the scampi was now $17 for one piece.. I won't be back because of the customer service not serving us at 9:30 p.m. as well as the quality has gone downhill
