Picked up some Scones takeaway at the Mosman shop and found out it doesn't come with Jam or Cream, they were extra so I might as well get it and paid for it but instead of cream the staff gave me butter but by the time I found it I was already a couple of suburbs away and I was in a rush hence takeaway. And this also happened to my friends at another instance. Unless you eat in then the staff doesn't listen and palm you off quickly. Not appetising when the bread and items are sitting in glass cabinet that is open and there are flies on it.....and we all know flies carry germs. Learned my lesson so won't go back. You wanna go then good...

Nov 2020 - The Shrinking Almond Croissant...As an Avalon resident I have been a customer of La Banette for some 10 years. I love my almond croissants. Price has gone up from $4.5 to $5.5 and just recently I realised they are visibly (at least 10-20%) smaller!!    Read moreThe only thing that is remotely similar to a French Pattisserie is the name. Revolting, usually overdone to burnt pastries, quiches & pies that are grossly overpriced. I was charged $12.00 AUD for 2 Sausage Rolls which were more carrot than meat and was asked if I wanted to pay extra for sauce! Also $3.50 AUD for the smallest Lemon Tart I've ever encountered!
