I was a regular customer here and the bread & pastries were baked fresh & excellent quality whilst on the pricey side I was still happy to pay but unfortunately the customer service is appalling! Unaccommodating, arrogant & rude pretty much sums it up. As a result I stopped shopping here for a long time. I recently went there and the same rude French woman who works there, was again all of the above things which I ignored but when I asked for a plastic bag, she rolled her eyes and spat out it’s 20 cents. I didn’t have a problem paying for the bag but the eye roll is where I draw the line! The owner Marie whilst lovely and everything her staff are not is well aware of the staff rudeness issues and chooses to bury her head in the sand which will come at a cost to her business eventually. The quality & freshness of their products have also deteriorated. Their baguette sandwiches were once freshly baked and brimming with fillings, now the bread is hard and stale and the fillings are scant. I will never shop here again and based on the lack of queues they once enjoyed it looks like I’m not alone. I now purchase even better quality sweets & cakes, baked fresh, with more variety at the Sweet Spot at Randwick where the staff are a pleasure...

And it was my second time here when their people look like they don't want to sell anything. I asked the lady if I order vanilla cake , can it be without grated chocolate on top. And she said: no, we order like this. Then we asked if she can leave a note not to put chocolate on top because we want to decorate it. I tried to pay by card but their EFTPOS didn't work, I gave them 50$ note, they said they don't have a change. Then I asked to go someone and get the change because it was 2 people infront. But they said NO. And we left. It was 1 year ago and we never bought something since then. This time again. Looks like their staff needs some training how to provide customer service. I wouldn't...
