The shop-keeper is friendly but maybe should smile more. I have tried taken out and dined in before, the tables are usually clean (I usually come around 12noon-4p.m., during lunch special). Also, the processes of cooking do not take long at this time.

One thing that I like from this place is their vegetables are sweet and the foods here usually have an unique corn smell (perhaps the sauce?).

  1. Thai fried rice live up to my expectation.
  2. Rice Pad Pak (Vegs) - Quite the same as tofu cashew nuts w/ rice but w/ mushroom w/o tofu+cashew.
  3. For tofu cashew nut, I like it but would like to have a nicer tofu.
  4. Their pad thai pork is nice. However, I prefer the dish to have more variety of vegetables/mushroom. I also think other price has nutty flavor while here not.
  5. All their curries are really sweet (I like sweet, but not everyone) Massaman, Panang curry is good.
  6. BBQ Pork rice is ok, also given sweet chili. Cheers.

Used to eat here all the time because it was delicious Thai and very cheap. The service has always been appalling and they almost frequently get orders wrong.

I didn't mind because I thought that the food was worth it. However I began discovering big solid pieces of egg shells in my flat rice noodle (Pad Se Ew) some the size of my finger tip, and I then recalled always feeling something in my food which was crunchy and had the texture of sand granules and I always dismissed it as a crunchy bit of tofu or something. I then realised that this is a dirty kitchen and that is why they are able to sell cheap meals. The taste might be good but rest assured this...

The food is good but service is a little ordinary. When I went back to pick up my order, they said I was undercharged so had to sort that out and when I got home my Pineapple Fried Rice with Prawns had no pineapple whatsoever! (Oh, and they only take cash which is annoying). That's what happens when you're taking an order from a customer in the shop and talking to a customer on the phone at the same time. Shame... because once again, the food was good. (Interestingly though... another review mentioned pineapple rice with no...

Yum Yum Thai is most definitely yum yum. I'm chuffed I stopped here for the first time for some veges. Bravo chef! The chap at the counter is sweet and chilled with an Aussie accent who speaks Thai to kindly get info from the chef re foodie questions. Comfy seating, basic and clean. Pretty much opposite Aldi in Maroubra. This joint has apparently been here for years so I gather they've served up consistently excellent food 👌.

Small Thai cafe on Maroubra Road in Maroubra. Good place to catch up with a few friends over a well priced Thai dish. The decor is more a takeaway shop with some seating rather than a restaurant. The food here is delicious and the lunch specials are very well priced and just under $10. There is some outdoor seating where you can enjoy some sunshine with your meal. Serving sizes are generous and vegetables are fresh. 👍
