This was delish.! Killing time before seeing live bands at the Bridge Hotel (I know I know that’s so 90s), my buddy and I were keen for a schnitty at the RSL. As we approached the road for the RSL he mentioned he’d been to Lane 198 for his bday recently and that it was all kinds of good. With a subtle arm twist he convinced me and in we popped. Not having a reso, we were lucky to get a table as the place was packed. We started with some ice cold Singha’s before I ordered the duckin’ roll peking duck pancakes for a starter. My buddy got the Tom Yum Shrimp Soup which came with 8 large shrimp. What an oxymoron! I opted for the Char Grilled Beef and Stir Fry Veg. The portions were spot on and we left completely satiated. Would come here again in a heartbeat. Super friendly and busy staff. Fast efficient service despite the crowd. And just really great, hot and fresh food!

We were around the Gladesville area and craving some good Asian cuisine. Stumbled across Lane 198 and wow what can I say - amazing!!! Such a unique variety of dishes on offer that we weren't sure what to order. Luckily Lilian was on hand with some great recommendations for us. Highly recommend the karaage chicken bao, twice-cooked duck curry, signature pad thai, oh and save some room for the banana roti as dessert (ps everyone was too hungry that I only managed the one photo!) Cozy vibes, great service, and delicious food. Can't wait to come back soon and try out the rest of the menu!

Of the dishes we tried the food was decent but a little sweet for my personal taste. They have signature dishes which we will have to try another time. Restaurant was full on a Saturday night which is a good sign. It's licensed but you can bring your own wine. Service was good considering the capacity crowd, staff were friendly and accommodating. Ambiance suited the mood. Seating is wooden stools which can be a bit hard for older people. Prices were reasonable, many choices in the menu.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lane198, a delightful local Thai restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor was tastefully done and the ambiance was just right for a relaxed evening out.

But the real star of the show was the delicious Thai cuisine that Lane198 had to offer. The menu was extensive, and I found myself struggling to choose just one dish to try. Everything sounded so wonderful! When Eliza, our lovely waitress, came over to take our order, she was incredibly friendly. She helped us make our selection and even offered some helpful suggestions based on our tastes.

The food was served quickly, but it was clear that no shortcuts were taken in the kitchen. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I especially enjoyed the peking pork — one of the best I’ve had.

Throughout the meal, Eliza was attentive, friendly, and just an all-around joy to be around. She made our dining experience that much more enjoyable.

But what really impressed me about Lane198 was their commitment to constantly innovating their menu. They clearly take pride in their food and are always looking for new ways to surprise and delight their guests. It's clear that a lot of thought and care go into the dishes they prepare.

Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Lane198. Their menu is exceptional, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing evening out. If you're looking for some of the best Thai food in town, this is definitely the place to...

If you're craving some authentic Thai cuisine and a cozy atmosphere, Lane198 is the perfect destination. This family-owned restaurant boasts an innovative menu that always changes, making every visit a new experience.

From the moment you step in, the ambiance is just perfect - a perfect blend of modern and traditional decor that gives an inviting and relaxing vibe. The staff is also friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.

The dishes at Lane198 are a culinary delight. They have a unique blend of flavors that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Whether you're a fan of the classics like Pad Thai, or interested in trying something different like their Duck Curry, you won't be disappointed.

One thing that sets Lane198 apart from other Thai restaurants is their dessert menu. The Golden Gaytime Bao is a must-try- a creative and delicious dessert that brings together a western ice cream classic and a traditional steamed bun.

And if you're short on time, the takeout service at Lane198 is just as reliable. You can have their tasty dishes delivered right to your doorstep, or ready for pickup.

In conclusion, Lane198 is a top-notch Thai restaurant that is worth a visit. With its mouth-watering dishes, warm ambiance, and innovative menu, it's no wonder why it has become a go-to spot for locals and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lane 198 in Gladesville, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit.

But what really stood out to me were the dishes I tried. The pad thai was hands down the best I've ever had - perfectly cooked noodles, tender chicken, and just the right amount of sweetness and spice. It was truly a taste sensation, and I found myself savoring every bite.

The pad see ew was equally impressive - the noodles were perfectly cooked and infused with the most delicious savory flavor, complemented perfectly by the tender beef and fresh vegetables. It was clear that each dish was made with the freshest ingredients and prepared with care.

Overall, I would highly recommend Lane 198 to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Thai cuisine. The pad thai and pad see ew were standouts, but I have no doubt that everything on the menu is equally amazing. Thank you to the wonderful team at Lane 198 for a truly memorable...
