Deceptively brilliant!
I honestly wasnāt sure how a place could be so highly rated and had serious doubts about it living up to expectation. However, Iām pleased to say they were excellent and I could I find two faults.
The first of which is the decor. Walking by, if you didnāt know the mastery of flavours that was going on behind those counters, you wouldnāt give it a second look. It is appears very plain and unappealing, which on the one hand is nice that they are focusing all their attention on the quality of the food, but I do wonder how many more people would give them a go if the store looked a bit more appealing.
Once you commit to eating there though, youāre in for a treat. We had both lamb and chicken based meals and both were great. The meats were cooked well and still juicy, and I personally loved the chilli sauce. It had a complex flavour palette, with just right amount of kick. The falafel was excellent too! Unlike many others, it wasnāt dry or bland and instead still had a nice crisp exterior without drying out the whole falafel. Their garlic sauce was also lovely, very reminiscent of a certain other famed, Granville, charcoal chicken shop before they franchised. The only food critique is the chips were quite an afterthought, but thatās easy to forgive given the main meal and garlic sauce can cover up for any deficiencies.
The man serving was very friendly and welcoming too, with what felt like a really passion for delivery quality food.
Iām glad that we have this place a go, and will most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen going around Sydney and trying all the Lebanese chicken places and Iāve got to say this place is absolutely fantastic and has become a new favourite of ours.
We ordered the family pack with 4 chickens and a ton of sides for the whole family and everyone loved it!
The chicken here is put back on the coals and cooked fresh to order so you get it steaming hot and smoky (unlike other Lebanese chicken places that just give you the chicken thatās been sitting there for a while). The chicken itself is also generously sized compared to other stores and is most importantly, is very juicy. Itās placed directly on the Lebanese bread so the breed soaks up all the chicken juices.
I havenāt even touched on the sides yet, the fattoush salad was loved by everyone at the table (including my mum thats hard to please) and the falafels were easily the best Iāve had in Sydney. Full of flavour and cooked fresh.
Sauces where spot on, garlic sauce was garlicky without being too much before it becomes spicy and the humous and babaganoush were rich and creamy.
Cannot say enough about this place, the owners were also greeting every customer and chatting when they get a chance, asking if it was their first time and took time to have a chat about the store, fantastic service.
If you like Lebanese style chicken, do NOT skip on this place, one of the every best in Sydney matched with immaculate service by the two boys behind the counter.
Thanks for a fantastic feed guys,...
