Deceptively brilliant!

I honestly wasn’t sure how a place could be so highly rated and had serious doubts about it living up to expectation. However, I’m pleased to say they were excellent and I could I find two faults.

The first of which is the decor. Walking by, if you didn’t know the mastery of flavours that was going on behind those counters, you wouldn’t give it a second look. It is appears very plain and unappealing, which on the one hand is nice that they are focusing all their attention on the quality of the food, but I do wonder how many more people would give them a go if the store looked a bit more appealing.

Once you commit to eating there though, you’re in for a treat. We had both lamb and chicken based meals and both were great. The meats were cooked well and still juicy, and I personally loved the chilli sauce. It had a complex flavour palette, with just right amount of kick. The falafel was excellent too! Unlike many others, it wasn’t dry or bland and instead still had a nice crisp exterior without drying out the whole falafel. Their garlic sauce was also lovely, very reminiscent of a certain other famed, Granville, charcoal chicken shop before they franchised. The only food critique is the chips were quite an afterthought, but that’s easy to forgive given the main meal and garlic sauce can cover up for any deficiencies.

The man serving was very friendly and welcoming too, with what felt like a really passion for delivery quality food.

I’m glad that we have this place a go, and will most...

Been going around Sydney and trying all the Lebanese chicken places and I’ve got to say this place is absolutely fantastic and has become a new favourite of ours.

We ordered the family pack with 4 chickens and a ton of sides for the whole family and everyone loved it!

The chicken here is put back on the coals and cooked fresh to order so you get it steaming hot and smoky (unlike other Lebanese chicken places that just give you the chicken that’s been sitting there for a while). The chicken itself is also generously sized compared to other stores and is most importantly, is very juicy. It’s placed directly on the Lebanese bread so the breed soaks up all the chicken juices.

I haven’t even touched on the sides yet, the fattoush salad was loved by everyone at the table (including my mum thats hard to please) and the falafels were easily the best I’ve had in Sydney. Full of flavour and cooked fresh.

Sauces where spot on, garlic sauce was garlicky without being too much before it becomes spicy and the humous and babaganoush were rich and creamy.

Cannot say enough about this place, the owners were also greeting every customer and chatting when they get a chance, asking if it was their first time and took time to have a chat about the store, fantastic service.

If you like Lebanese style chicken, do NOT skip on this place, one of the every best in Sydney matched with immaculate service by the two boys behind the counter.

Thanks for a fantastic feed guys,...

Warning: This establishment seems to have paid reviews. In order to see real reviews, sort them by the ā€œLowestā€ ratings and you will be able to ascertain the real picture prevalent for years. You'll also notice AI generated responses to every bad review.

When you go there to get something, expect the bald guy to tell you he is giving you extra stuff, like he’s being nice and it’s for free.

Then expect to see the bill inflated by around 10%. Has happened more than once. When you ask him why the bill is inflated, expect him to feign ignorance and imply the obviousness of why it’s more.

If you want keep him honest, order online.

If you call him for an order pickup and he gives you a time of when it will be ready, expect that it will not be and that he will start making it in front of you and make you wait 15-20 minutes.

Despite all of this, expect him to ask you for a good review and if you post a bad review, expect him to use...

Honestly don’t understand how this place is rated so high, fake reviews maybe? The shop was just run by a single staff when we dined in which meant we had to wait 30 minutes to get one quarter chicken meal. When the food finally arrived it was certainly not worth the wait. The chicken was the palest I’ve ever seen from a charcoal chicken shop, no charcoal flavour or really any flavour at all. The sauces were embarrassing, they all tasted store bought, even the hummus. The garlic sauce was literally still half frozen with ice in it. The bread tasted store bought too, it was dry with no aroma or flavour. The chips were ok crunch wise but had basically no seasoning. There was nothing I could find that even slightly redeemed this meal. Felt genuinely scammed by the reviews, never again!

For the hearty service you get, and serving some delicious charcoal chicken and skewers, it’s no surprise that this restaurant gets so many 5 star reviews! We ordered a mixed plate and a quarter chicken. The restaurant owner served this to us on our own individual plates, splitting the mixed plate and quarter chicken, and adding a few felafels and toasted pitas with some delicious filling of cheese, chilli and herb filling. The chicken skewers are nicely marinated and had a spritz of lemon, the lamb mince skewers are herbaceous, the falafelā€˜s were some of the best I’ve ever had with a very green filling that is crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. The quarter chicken is tasty, not overly salty like El Jannahā€˜s. Such a lovely meal here!!
