Livingstone Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

I have heart before that this place is not great with customer service, however after having dinner across the road . We decided to give it a chance. We came in to play pool which was impossible as there were some locals not willing to make turns or share the space. Some of us had to play with them. After an hour of being at the pub one of these guys wanted to confront my friend who was sitting at my table. In a very aggressive way. He came over my table and start abusing him verbally. I asked him to leave and insisted he start calling my friend in many disrespectful ways. SECURITY AND THE STUFF CAME OVER AND TOOK THE VIOLENT PERSON AWAY. My friend never left his chair. AND THE VIOLENT PERSON WAS ASKING MY FRIEND TO HAVE A Physical FIGHT. Come outside and fight! He repeated many times. THEN THE DECISION FROM THE STAFF WAS KEEP SEVING DRINKS TO THE VIOLENT PERSON AND STOP SERVING US. After his violent behaviour he got to stay and continue to have alcohol drinks at the establishment and we had to leave. This was managed in a very wrong way as legally you should not be serving alcohol to a person who aggressively invites other people spaces, as he did by coming to the table we were sitting at. We had a very interesting encounter with the security guard who worked here on Sunday night (1st September), after we parked our car next to the hotel, the security guard walked up to us and said we were not allowed to park here if we are not a customer of the pub, we then clarified that we are just going to have dinner at a nearby restaurant before coming back for a drink, at which point we will be the customer, but he insisted that we can’t park here because we are not a customer, and threatened to have our car towed, I’m naturally not comfortable with confrontations and I don’t like to argue, but the security guard seemed all worked up and starting to get angry, at which point we are even suspecting he’s drunk on the job (but we didn’t smell any alcohol so maybe it’s drugs), and he kept on insisting “teaching us a very important and valuable life lesson”, which to be honest still puzzles me what lesson was he trying...

Thought giving this place a go and have a dinner there, but only ended up with a big disappointment. Ordered some fish of the day and it took them 40mins to serve my food. When asked the guy who took my order, he looked very surprised that I haven’t got my food yet... there were only 5 people in the indoor seating area! Not even crowded or busy that he couldn’t see me with no food. When food arrived, he has the cheek to ask me what sauce I want for my fish (menu says butter sauce, no option). So I waited for another 15mins for that pitiful sauce to arrive, and I nearly finished my plain average salmon.
