If you want to ruin your day with rude and obnoxious behaviour from the barista go to this café.

I have been to this café a couple of times now as I like to give a few chances to local café’s, even if, from time to time, I’m disappointed by their service.

The first time I ordered my coffee, they got the order wrong. I advised them seeking the correct coffee, however, what followed was odd. The barista took it personally, slammed the coffee on the bench and commenced making another coffee while visibly cursing under his breath.

Despite this, I decided to give the give the café another chance.

Today, I ordered a takeaway coffee. This time they got the order correct, however, the barista poured it into someone else’s “keep cup” and called out my order to be collected. When I noticed that my coffee was in a “keep cup” I raised this with the barista. He immediately started cursing and was visibly angry. He tipped the coffee into another takeaway cup, spilling it as he progressed. He then placed a lid on the top and wiped the cup with a dirty cleaning cloth. He then angrily handed me the coffee.

I advised the barista that I would not accept the coffee as it had been poured out of another persons “keep cup”. He stated … “Why what’s wrong with it?”. The barista continued his aggressive demeanour, banging items on the counter. As such, I left the coffee shop without my coffee or a refund.

The baristas behaviour was not welcoming and made me feel intimidated. Moving forward, I will be sourcing my coffee...

My husband bought a sandwich and a coffee this morning which both were good, I came later to get another Sandwich and 2 more coffees for me and my sister, this time the coffees tasted like they were burnt and we couldn’t drink a sip! When I returned them to the counter and tell the barista, he refused that the coffee beans burnt and I had to leave 2 coffees there without being offered my money back or getting new coffee! Usually when you tell the barista that the coffee tastes like it burn they will offer you a new one without hesitating! But this guy was arguing that the coffee machine set as normal so it can’t burn the coffee! ( he may overfilling the basket and tamping the coffee too much) We always get our coffee from Haven, right in the corner which is by far better! but this morning we were in a rush and had to order coffee from the same shop that we got our breakfast to save time!
