This is our go-to- place for fish and chips. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed.
Our last visit was recently on Sunday, a Christmas catch-up with friends. Macquarie Park Boathouse went above and beyond our expectation. We were blown away by the customer service in particular. They provided our table with Christmas decorations including Christmas crackers for each of us. What took us most by surprise was when they gave each of our children a gift wrapped up in Christmas paper. They each received a book and what was most impressive, the books given were really good and were tailored to their age group. It really was a great start to our lunch with this surprise and put a smile on our children's faces.
The food was outstanding as usual. Always fresh and delicious! The prices are reasonable for the servings you receive. Plenty of food per person. You get a decent serving and you don't go home hungry, but extremely satisfied!
The Sunday vibe was great too. We were seated inside with the option of having the fans on or not. They had some live music playing too on the day.
The staff at Macquarie Park Boathouse Cafe are always so friendly and welcoming. They really strived to make our experience a happy one and really succeeded at that.
We really enjoyed our outing and would highly recommend this place for some fresh fish and chips. 10/10 👍
Thank you very much Macquarie Park Boathouse Cafe, we will definitely be back with another group of friends in the near future. 😁
Suggestion for the future: providing children with some complimentary colouring in materials. Some clubs provide individual colouring in packs for children. Kids get bored easily and it saves parents bringing things for the kids to do. Something like this would help parents stress less trying to keep their child seated. It would also allow parents to enjoy their lunch if their child was engaged in an activity. Just a thought for consideration....
Read moreDined here today, father's day - probably one of the busiest days on any hospo calendar yet despite a decent wait, we were stil pleasantly surprised. A live acoustic duo and a park accross the road with plenty of shade if you want to grab your meal take away and go sit down under a tree. The order taker ladies were honest & upfront to expect 90min wait times so ordered then walked across the bridge to do some market looking. Come back after 60mins and our food wasn't much longer after we got back. Baxter was an absolute standout. His customer service skills with quiet alot of inpatient diners was top notch. He was friendly, calm and positive the whole time and is am absolute asset to the team. The only issue I had was that the angry Indian chef was so damn loud when he was screaming at his staff and could be heard a fair distance away. It was very off putting and everyone was quite clearly under the pump and all we could hear was him yelling at the team, not a great look and I hope he reflects on this behaviour before heading home tonight. I have worked in hospitality for 15 years and I would never tolerate being spoken to like that by another team member, chef or not. A little bit of respect goes a long way and I genuinely felt bad for the team who were already under pressure. This small hiccup though, won't stray our return. We will definately be back...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was my family of 3 experience just 15 min ago. We walked in on a quiet Monday morning, just 2 other gentleman were sitting at a table. My wife and son sat outside at a table and I went inside to order. Well, directly in front of me two female servers just talked to each other no acknowledgement or ‘won’t be a minute’. I kept waiting and after an extended, unacceptable period of time. I said ‘Well no one wants to serve me” and walked out. I could hear one lady call out, “How can I help you?” But unfortunately it was too late. We are now over at another cafe for brunch in Windsor mall. So so disappointing. We will not...
