Be weary of ordering through Uber Eats, Menulog, Doordash, or other delivery services alike. On many occasions, most of my orders have been delivered incomplete.
The most outstanding and outrageous include missing sauce, smaller than standard servings, cold food, soggy fries, grease-covered burger boxes, the list goes on.
If you think that the staff - to be specific, their under-trained managers - will rectify their omission, think again. The response you are likely receive is something along the lines of ‘put in a Refund with the delivery service’.
A message to those who work at St Ives McDonald’s: you may not enjoy your job, and fair enough, we all need to make a living somehow, but remember this, it’s not just a simple order, an impediment during the ‘rush’, it’s comfort. You will most likely never speak to the customer for those who have their food delivered, but they’re still people, like you, struggling, like you.
Now if you think that this would never affect you, you’re right, it will most likely affect the managers, store manager, and owner - for now. But trust me, your collective failures will eventually be noticed by your superiors, and the feeling of being micro analysed by them is rather uncomfortable.
To the managers now, please take more responsibility into ensuring that orders are Complete and that you’re educating your employees. Fast service looses its value when accompanied by cursory service and attention to detail.
All of you working there are bound to make mistakes, but taking ownership would be...
Read moreOn Friday the 2nd February 2024 after 17h00. I ordered for my family and await the food to be issued by the female young order distributor. I have been in the store infrequently and have noted this individual in most occasions. As I had my number yelled out I approached and showed my receipt with the number thereon. I got a rude shove in my direction of the food packet and this youngling said "TAKE!". Is this what the service at MacDonalds and their trainer has come to. This youngster is not only not professional but rude and unnecessary in her unwanted actions. This kind of behaviour is for her parents and for management and trainers at MacDonalds to tolerate not for paying customers. As we do not ask for any negative "bonus" such as this behaviour and lack of good service. Please have your Thornleigh Head office training staff come in to the store to check on what the manager who at that stage was a meter away and this staff member know what they are doing to your brand. I will rather go to another brand until I get the reasonable service I believe customers deserve. If nothing positive can be said to customers then just keep quiet and give the order out to the...
Read moreI don’t usually get McDonald’s (let alone get McDonalds breakfast food) but today I found myself passing a McDonald’s and wanting to get a coffee and some food.
I decided to get an iced mocha and a McMuffin. The coffee was fine (it’s McDonald’s coffee) however on my second bite of the McMuffin I noticed something dark brown and crispy on the inside. I initially thought it could be a small piece of bacon that snuck in to the McMuffin making process.
However much to my disappointment it was not bacon. It seemed to be a piece of card packaging that had been cooked. So I removed it from the McMuffin. But upon further inspection it was actually a piece of cooked egg shell. McDonald’s should really focus on quality control this could have easily happed to a young child and caused...
