Mister Gee North Strathfield — Restaurant in Sydney

I'm a client for over 3 years, used to be the best burger in town. I visited it pretty much weekly. Couple of months ago I went and the burger was really bad, not the same at all, the bum wasn't good (maybe change of supplier?) The patty wasn't tasty and was overdone, just a spot of sauce on the burger. The experience was so bad that I gave up. Tonight I was feeling like having a gee because I was missing it and decide to give it a go. The place wasn't busy as it always had been (I used to spent 30 minutes on queue to order and the order would be ready within 15 minutes.), There were like 4 people in front of me. After I ordered, 30 minutes gone by and nothing of my order. I asked the staff that was handling the delivery of the orders and he asked for a moment. After a while no answer from him. I couldn't wait anymore and decided to request a refund. The manager came and said that the order would be ready in 2 minutes, I told I couldn't wait anymore as it has been already 40 minutes waiting for a take away order. The venue wasn't busy as it always used to be, and the service was always impeccable. Tonight it was a disaster, later the manager told that there was an issue printing the orders, meaning that my order wasn't even cooking after those 40 minutes. Really disappointed. Long time fan of mister gee burger truck, it’s my second time to the north Strathfield location. First time was right after they closed down the truck, everything was good, still the same. This time tho, can’t say I wasn’t disappointed. Ordered stoner’s revenge and og truffle, truffle fries and two shakes. Their shakes remain the same, delicious, the burgers tho, first of all they changed the bun, but no big deal, when I had the first bite of my stoners revenge my heart sank, the bacon was thicker and harder to bite, I had to pull one whole piece of bacon from my bite. Also, the burger tasted weirdly overly salty at first, and when I got to the centre I realized it’s because they had the chips and sauce in the middle, unlike before where they would have sauce and ingredients distributed evenly, every bite would taste more or less the same (delicious). My boyfriend has the same problem with og truffle, started out great, at the end he said something was missing on the other half of the burger. I personally think the evenly distributed taste of mister gee was one of the major things that made them stand out, and I’m sad that now that they’ve lost this. Not sure if we would return given the burgers...

4/5 Stars. 5/5 Burgers. but the organization is a 3/5. My order was lost... Waiting 45 minutes till I ask them where my order is. If you feel like you've waited too long ask the staff calling out orders. The staff very professional with handling this but definitely need to brief on how they Organize the queue and orders.

Ordered. Stoners Revenge/ Bacon Boy Fries/ Ice Tea.

Recommendation: Cashier: Only take maximum of 10 orders for the kitchen to handle, this includes deliveroo/uber eats, then when you hit the max... help out here and there in the kitchen or clean some tables, bag up the trash so it's not overflowing.

Docketing system: Implement the screen system where you can ssee your orders rather than paper tickets as mine got lost. Or put numbers on your dockets so you can call out the numbers rather than names because I'm pretty sure my name is pretty generic, must be like at least 1 other Daniel waiting for food.

Food: No recommendation needed the food is A++ happy to wait 30 minutes for this.
