I ate there on Wednesday night. We chose this place as it looks very authentic and rustic...They had one waiter serving the whole place and she was a little rude. We asked her to wipe our dirty table from the people before us and she ran out wiped with a spounge and left the table soaking. I used my napkin to dry it. She wasn’t attentive at all.
I ordered a spaghetti Bolognese i had two moth fulls.... it tasted as if it had detergent in it. I returned it and not one of the staff or management asked me what was wrong with it they just charged us for it. Even after I told the waitress it didn’t taste nice. But what did she care.
This dish lacked in flavour and had no seasoning what so ever. It was super acidic ....Is this authentic ?
We ordered a pizza with the lot. The pizza base was so thin it could of passed as toasted Lebanese bread and it was semi chalky and although it was slightly tasty i would of preferred dominos. The pizza was definitely the only average thing there.
My gf ordered the carbonara, once again had no flavour what so ever. And to think Italian food is full of seating and herbs. Well usually.
My heritage is Italian so im not going to compare my mums cooking as this place doesn’t scratch the surface. But I will say Italians are usually great cooks and I’ve eaten at many great Italian restaurants around Sydney ..... This is not one of them. And sorry to say but if you like it, you need to get out more :)
Certainly not worth the $60 we paid. And to call this Italian would...

The only issue is that that's where it ends. It's not a pizza. It's a heavily topped round toast with cheap cheese, hardly any sauce and hardly any flavor. I'm sorry. It's almost burnt (I don't mean the dark spots - that's ok when you have the wood fired oven - it's not the case anyways), I mean that the crust is over dried and cheese is far after melted and way to far into burnt greasy. It's quite sad since I really wanted that place to be great. Probably that's where the three instead of two stars come from. Sadly I will not get back here. Please improve the quality of the flour, moisture ratio of the crust and the cheese/tomato topping. These are basics and they need to be maintained. Prawns were really nice though, olive oil as well. Please change the olives supplier even to Aldi - they are not...
Read moreThis was an old favourite of ours when we lived locally, a family favourite. We had to come pay this place a visit during our Sydney stay and although the service was fairly ordinary, the girl had a scowl on her face when throwing down our salad and after 20 mins of waiting for our water we had ordered, was not at all happy when we requested it again, however she begrudgingly brought a bottle over straight away for us. The pizza was still as we remembered, garden salad was amazing and the dressing was perfect! The garlic bread was brought out almost immediately to our surprise, and there's no surcharge for corkage. My biggest disappointment though was the dessert, I had been craving my usual dessert option, rockmelon gelato, however they no longer have it on the menu.. there are a number of other gelato options available but it just wasn't the same ☹️ bring back your rockmelon gelato .. please .. - From a previous Naremburn local and (used to be) regular...
