Had an amazing toastie here 6 months ago. Came back for another one, not on the menu anymore. Fair enough, staff offered to make a cheese and tomato toastie anyway. Tiny amount of cheese and some mushy tomato, between two pieces of rye bread so bland and chewy my jaw and tastebuds have given up on life. 1st rule of toasties is never use rye bread. 2nd rule of toasties is never use rye bread. 3rd rule is don’t charge $9 for rye bread with a small piece of cheese and old tomato. Partners egg and bacon roll was okay.

Best ever Beetroot juice made by very nice Pedro, perfect 👌 balance of earthy just right sweetness, absolutely delicious!! Great friendly service by all the staff. Lovely ambience in such a beautiful old building. Good food, lovely bread! Very nice place to be! Lovely ambience, lovely light in the afternoon. Again, have to say the staff are really nice!

I love the concept of kids friendly cafe but the backyard was a bit underwhelming. A lot less toys than on the photos. There is so much toys second hand for free or few $ on Facebook Marketplace. I wish the staff put some effort in keeping the area attractive. The kids avocado smash was underwhelming for the price - 7.5$. Drinks and other foods were good.

This cafe used to be my go to and favourite healthy and friendly place to have brunch with family and friends. BUT since the new management, the place has become unhygenic, with inattentive and slow staff and oily food. Atmosphere, service and cooking have gone downhill.

Came for lunch with my grandmother on a quiet weekday. Upon arrival the male staff indifferently gave us a seat with barely any greeting. Such a contrast to the vibrant warm vibes from the previous owners. Whilst waiting for our food I saw a cockroach running along the walls next to the tables and right near the culterly tins. I notified the staff and he just smooshed it with the back of one of the chairs then used a napkin from the table to wipe it away. Did not disinfect the area despite holding the spray and wipe bottle in his hand. He didn’t even appologise or say anything. The cockroach was not fully grown so their must be eggs nearby. I told the staff that but je of prend my comment.

We ordered a watermelon orange and apple juice which came brown and in a dirty glass. I understand produce plays a role in that especially being winter, but it also did not taste fresh at all. We were then served a wrong order. I said this is not us then a voice from behind said “that’s ours but we ordered it as takeaway”. Without any apology the staff just walked back into the kitchen with the food. 10 minutes later she came out with the food in containers.... and once again with no apology she gave it to the disgruntled customer. 10 minutes for them to place the food into a takeaway container....

After a very long wait for our food, despite there being only a few customers, my food was served first. Finally, 10 minutes later my grandmother’s food was served. First rule of serving= serve the food together. Especially when there’s only two of us.

Both of our foods were very oily. They have the same menu as previous owners but the new chefs don’t do it justice. The foods no longer taste fresh and are certainly no longer healthy with all that oil.

Then when we decided to finish and pay the bill, all of a sudden all the staff had left. No one at the counter nor the floor for at least 5-10 minutes!! After finally paying and interacting with the staff, I felt as though I had a robotic restaurant experience as the staff are very gloomy, inattentive and slow, with no sense of social abilities.

Overall disappointed with the...

There wasn't an option to give negative stars otherwise I would have given this cafe/xtend barre studio (same owner) negative 5 stars.

I have been to this cafe several times and thought the food was decent despite being quite overpriced. Their staff in general are well mannered and pleasant.

The husband and wife team also operate the barre studio upstairs. My friends and I thought we would try it out this weekend. It was the absolute worst experience we have ever had.

Please allow me to list examples below:

1/ MISLEADING ADVERTISING. they freely advertise free trial classes on flyers out the front of the cafe using a promo code. When you pay for the class on their extremely poorly managed website, it does not give you that option to enter a code at check out. Very misleading and considering to report this to the ACCC.

2/ DODGY WEBSITE and POOR ATTITUDE . we had all created an account with logins and passwords. I managed to re-login the day after the account was created to pay for the class. We were publicly accused (in front of what I thought was an already way over crowded class) of not having paid and was demanded payment on the spot no matter what evidence we had that we have already paid. I tried to log on again and strangely enough my account no longer exists.

3/ MONEY HUNGRY. Despite being able to prove transaction history that our payment was either being processed or had been paid, we were told that their system did not reflect this and Ty the owner instructed her staff to continue to harass us after we sat down at their cafe below until we paid another 29 dollars. Incidentally, this is an absurd amount of money for a 55min of poorly instructed, over crowded class with dirty (roaches on back of mats) props for client use. Needless to say we decided to have breakfast somewhere else.

Overall, not sure how businesses like this can continue to operate when their ultimate goal is not to provide a pleasant experience for their paying customers, but to leech as much money from them as they possibly can.

This experience will not only mean that I will not be returning, I will also be telling all my friends, family, colleagues to do the same. It has also made me disappointed in humanity due to how money hungry and mean spirited some...

Popped in for Brekky - overall a disappointing experience.

Coffee Ordered 2 coffees, one turned up, the second didn't arrive until I finally caught the attention of the barista. Burnt coffee beans w a bitter taste.

Food Ordered 2 chickpea and lentil burgers. Neither got finished, too cold, dry and burger to bread ratio wasn't in proportion. Shared sweet potato chunks, which were dry, and very cold.

Asked for some sauce, this took so long and conveniently arrived as we'd already stood up from the table waiting to pay. She said I have your sauce, I said we're actually finished, she then put the sauce on our now empty table and walked off?!

Staff were disengaged and provided bare minimum customer service. Had to get up and ask for water, and overall the experience set me back $48.00

It's lucky this place is in Sydney where it seems you can get away with poor service and food quality as the wave of brunching Saturday morning Sydney siders will still flood through.

I will not be returning and would not recommended...
