First time visiting the Osaka Trading Co and my husband and I were blown away. We got a great deal via EatClub and thought it would be a great opportunity to give this place a whirl during lunch.

We ordered:

Drinks Highball, lime and ginger ale with Suntory Whiskey Bubble Tea with a green tea base, passionfruit and rum

Food Spicy Tuna Gunkan King Prawn Nigiri Salmon Belly Nigiri Salmon Nachos Scallops Soft Shell Crab Buns Tantanmen Spicy Miso Pork Rice Bowl

Our drinks were so refreshing and exactly what we wanted. I’ve never had a spiked bubble tea before so this was a real novelty!

The food and drinks didn’t take long to come out. We were never left waiting for a long time although the order of the dishes didn’t come out as we expected as the sushi came out last and not first.

The dishes were all beautifully presented and tasted delicious and flavoursome.

The Salmon Nachos were ideal for sharing and the Scallops were to die for! The sauce on it could almost be a dessert sauce!! So delicious and beautifully cooked!

The Soft Shell Crab buns had a surprisingly slight fishy taste that wasn’t too pleasant but noticeable if you paid attention.

We loved the Tantanmen and Spicy Miso Pork Rice Bowl. Both were spicy and flavour bombs, making you want more. The Tantanmen was an afterthought later when we felt we could still eat a little more and just to try the ramen since we trekked all the way here.

The sushi were fresh and tasty. I’d skip the king prawn next time though as there wasn’t anything about it that would make me want to reorder it.

The ambience of the place was full of light and vitality during lunch.

Although not a big restaurant, the service was attentive and it felt cosy and enjoyable.

We’d love to return next time to try some of their other food and drinks!

Thanks...

Wow! What a beautiful restaurant. It was such an absolute pleasure to eat at this restaurant with the beautiful authentic decorations and atmosphere. I feel like I'm in Japan!

The service is above and beyond and they are so welcoming and friendly and so their absolute utmost to help you out.

The seating is spacious and comfortable with large group tables, small intimate tables and bar seating available.

The food was delicious and fresh although the serving sizes were a little bit on the smaller side for the price you have to pay.

The lotus chips were divine and perfectly salty and crunchy! The vegetarian ramen was fresh and flavourful with a delicious broth base with tender soft noodles.

My companions thoroughly enjoyed their fried chicken saying that it was crisp on the outside and moist and tender on the inside.

The drinks are unique and yummy. I am very impressed with the fun bubble tea with a shot of vodka. Was a delight!

The ambience is very warm and inviting with rustic brick walls and themed decor in every direction giving it a rustic yet modern and clean vibe. The projector which displays Japanese anime on the brick wall was a fun little addition which adds a bit of quirkiness to the rustic and modern looking wooden vibe.

I would highly recommend this...

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. We discovered them with a last minute EatClub deal and it was a great night, the food and cocktails were on point! We had the tuna tartare, salmon nachos, brussel sprouts, spicy ramen and matcha cheesecake, all to share. Our cuisine of choice is usually Japanese or Mexican and we were not disappointed, but interestingly our favourite dish was actually the brussel sprouts! The yuzu spritz and old fashions were also well made, very fresh and tasty and great balance of flavours. We added the charshu pork and mushrooms to our ramen and it was also a very hearty, well sized meal for the price and soooo tasty. Ambiance was also lovely and seemed to be a spot for couples - so great for a date night! Staff were also really great and attentive. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back to try more of...
