If you're looking for authentic Japanese food, there's only two in Sydney that I recommend. This is one of them!

The food was really well made and gives the fresh food feeling (especially their prawns) that can't even compare to pretty much 98% of Japanese food in Sydney! They could work a little bit more on the flavouring and portion sizes of the karaage, but overall, a much-needed dish after coming back from Japan! I recommend ordering the tempura side dishes, the vegetables are phenomenal AND the Takoyaki, it was PERFECTLY cooked just they way it should be. Maybe try the tempura udon, I haven't tried it yet but it seems like a great choice.

Now the service... it was good, like beyond good! Actually, it was fantastic! The service you get from this restaurant replicates EXACTLY from the service you would usually get from Japan, which to put it in simpler terms, friendly, helpful, nice, professional and atmospheric! This service can NOT compare to majority of restaurants in Sydney!

As mentioned before, the great service contributes to making a great atmosphere! A lot of people actually come to this restaurant so you won't feel lonely and the friendly staff helps you feel safe and like a valued customer! The place is a bit small and quite crowded but if they keep this up, I don't think renting a bigger place is a dream!

One more thing I would like to add, the owners of this restaurant are full on Japanese people and the chef is also very experienced, so you can always count on them to re-create the wonderful taste of drum roll HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE FOOD!

P.S. Here are two pictures I took, the curry was taken after I dipped my spoon in because I am not a professional food blogger, and I forgot I was gonna take a photo of it... Around $60-80 for...

Ordered a Chicken Namban which did not come with enough Tartare sauce. There was only a tiny dollop which made the chicken quite dry on its own. I asked for more sauce. The waitress served me the sauce without mentioning that it would cost me extra. When it came to paying the bill, my friend noticed an ambiguous charge of $1.90 or so.

It's not really about the money, it's the principal/decent thing to do to be transparent with your customer. It is offensive that I wasn't informed of this fee prior to being charged. It felt dishonest and sneaky. I would have liked to be the one making the decision on whether or not I'd like to pay almost $2 for sauce that should have been part of my meal. I didn't get an apology or anything so I left the place feeling rather sour. Needless to say, we will not...

One of the worst Japanese take away meals I ever eaten. The fish was dry...not fresh. The rice was pasty (old). We had sashimi & sushi & rolls. I hate that they just threw the plastic soy sauce containers/plastic sachets of wasabi/ginger on top of the sashimi and in with the sushi...so unhygenic. Also ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Set - the chicken serving was tiny and was also sub-par. This place isn't fit to be called "Japanese" because all the people working there certainly weren't. To top it all, they put the cold Sashimi & Sushi sets in on top of the hot Teriyaki chicken. I'm just praying I don't get food poisoning. Overpriced and tasteless. I will NEVER eat from...

Tried their chicken katsu curry, karaage bento, and kids menu. Our highlight was the kids menu - it looks very cute, in a shinkansen (bullet train) platter, comes with a jelly and a popper juice. The chicken katsu curry was delicious, but wish the chicken portion could be a bit more generous. The space is a little tight but clean. The service was very accommodating and friendly.

A great little Japanese restaurant. The food is fresh and flavoursome. The service is great, being friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean and cosy. There is plenty of outdoor parking, being located within Northbridge Plaza next to Woolworths. The parking lot is often busy, but it turns over relatively quickly. There are even a few electric car charging stations.
