The food at this Korean restaurant was absolutely exceptional—authentic, packed with flavour, and beautifully prepared. There was nothing to fault with the dishes themselves, and the staff were warm and welcoming.
However, the hygiene practices were honestly unacceptable and made the dining experience very uncomfortable. Throughout our entire visit, not once did we see the staff change their gloves. The same pair of gloves was used continuously—for wiping down tables, picking up scraps off the floor, cleaning spills, and then serving food and side dishes directly to customers.
When we asked for a refill of side dishes, their gloved fingers were practically in the food, right after they had been handling used bowls and floor debris. The gloves were visibly stained orange, likely from kimchi residue, and were still being used to plate and serve clean dishes. This completely defeats the purpose of wearing gloves and was extremely off-putting.
We asked to speak to a manager but were told no one was available. It’s frustrating, because the food is genuinely amazing, but the lack of basic hygiene practices made it hard to enjoy the meal. Customers do notice these things—and it seriously impacts the overall experience. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously, because the food...
Read moreI feel disappointed and confused. Not sure why there are so many 5 star ratings when I tried it personally and find its way overrated.
Pancake was over priced, $31 for their famous seafood pancake while it’s so oily that I couldn’t eat more than 1 slice. The noodle was average Pork Bone soup was bland, really really oily. I had it out on the table for less than 10mins and it started render all the fat on the surface. The soup was so little for the portion. No taste. The best dish out of them all was the plain pork soup which i ordered for my son. It tasted the best and this should be their star dish on the menu.
I cant give them 1 star for service nor 5 star because it’s self order and pretty much no interaction with staff required. Tea was ready made on the table and ordering via QR code.
I dont think i was stingy on ordering while spending $120 between 2 adults and a 5 years old child. We didn’t finish all the food and didn’t want take away because it was too oily to eat.
Definitely not recommended this place but you are more than welcome to try it for yourself. Just hope this review is helpful for people who is looking for an honest opinion rather than...
Read moreI have been to Park Bong Sook in Eastwood and it was pretty good. So I came to the one in Hurstville. I was first greeted with a small line outside the restaurant which is often a good sign. We were seated after a 15 minutes wait. My first impression was that the seating was quite crammed, unlike the spaciousness of Eastwood.
We ordered the chicken noodle soup, fried chicken with rice and the bossam. Side dishes arrived first and they came in generous quantities. The chicken noodle soup came next with a giant merryland sticking out. The noodles were nice but some parts if the chicken was a bit dry. The bossam on the other hand came in a small portion, and half of them were blocks of fat. The fried chicken with rice was generous in portion, tender and delicious.
Overall, the food was ok but service could be a lot better. Our table was missing chopsticks and I pressed that button but no one came. At the end of the meal, I went up to the counter and stood there for like 5 minutes before the staff asked if I can be...
