Checked their ad on Facebook clearly showing they accept Dine and Discover vouchers (also confirmed via the phone when made the booking) so made a reservation on Easter Holiday. Just prior to we got seated I have double checked with the manager which vouchers can be use and been adv they accept the vouchers so alright we have taken it. After we got seated been adv they only serve premium seafood buffet and not the normal buffet tonight which was not what we originally wanted for. They said the normal buffet is not available anymore BUT it is still showing on their website menu as available. So fine we went for the premium seafood buffet and after 10 mins we have seated and made the first order, staff came back and said no oysters to serve tonight. WHAT? Shouldn’t all of these need to be advised with their customers before they get seated? They must have known what’s available on the menu before customers got seated but none of these were been advised in advance. Besides they don’t have much seafood to choose from and oysters are almost their seafood must have type. We were so disappointed when they told us that. But here we have already seated and made the first order so left us with not much option but to accept the seafood buffet without oysters (I feel they are dishonest at this moment). During dinner we found 2 cockroaches on the table alive?! But cz it’s with family and kids and did not want to make a big deal out of it so we did not complain or anything. It was up until we pay the bill at the end and been adv by the male staff I think he is the manager that our vouchers are not redeemable which I had previously confirmed before having the dinner and got seated. I spoke to him and he said YES they accept the vouchers! I even clarified which vouchers I will be using before seated. Now he said NO those vouchers are not acceptable. It’s not just myself but we all think this is misleading and dishonest. There I told him about the cockroaches and they are not right like that! I reserve my right to make...
Read moreWent there with family for our first time. We get in we ask about how the buffet works, the waiter explains that we cld either get the regular or premium buffet. I asked about children prices, he had to check with the manager if my kids were deemed children. So my 13 and 14 year old kids arent children because they are taller than 130cm they even showed me the condition... So make sure u take birth certificates with you. Fair enough accepted that trying to enjoy the experience and went to pick from the buffet menu what to order. We handed the waiter our order for the open buffet. Few minutes later he comes back and advises that the regular buffet isnt available on the weekend. So we had to pay overall $100 extra and go with the premium. I was so upset and the reality is as soon as they saw our order for the Open buffet they wanted to charge us premium. Mind you nowhere in writting on website or menu does it say the regular buffet isnt available on weekends. I asked to speak to the manager the waiter said he was the manager which wasnt the case because next thing a lady comes and appologises for his mistake and wanted to offer us the premium buffet with a ten percent discount which again was so upsetting. Finally a third person came who now i believe was the manager and finally agreed to do the regular buffet price. Mind you its not cheap, four adult charge and a child it was $246. I didnt get for 20 minutes we had to argue about what they actually offer it made the experience stressful for all the family. I wldn t recommend this place to anyone to be honest as there is no honesty there. Food was ok although good luck trying to understand what the menu actually is and the explanation from the...
Read moreSeating/Environment: The place is quite spacious, has plenty of seating and has extremely comfortable seating.
Payment: The place accepts both card and cash. However, for ALL card payments there is a $2 surcharge which in my opinion is ridiculous especially if you are not ordering a lot. I advise that you bring enough cash and pay by cash.
Staff: The staff overall were quite nice, friendly and attentive.
Food: The food was prepared very quickly. I ordered a special Wagyu Platter for $55, a Scallop Sashimi for $13.8 and Beef Tataki for $12.8.
The Wagyu Platter had many cuts of beef, ox tongue, corn, pumpkin and mushroom. Overall, the meats were all very tender and juicy whether you cooked to medium rare or more well done. This is something that you do not get at a lot of BBQ places that I have been to in the past. This dish was probably the most worth it, however, it is a Christmas promotion.
The Scallop Sashimi was quite nice as well, the scallops were all nice and soft. However, the scallops did not have a lot of flavour on its own but it was paired nicely with a side of wasabi and soy sauce.
The Beef Tataki was very small and was pretty average for the price you pay. It was still nice and enjoyable but I do not think it is worth the amount you pay for.
Overall: The restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are around the Hurstville area and craving for some decent Japanese BBQ. The pictures on the menu also make the dishes seem a lot bigger than they actually are. The prices here is in the mid-range and for around $50 per person, you should be left feeling quite...
