兰州大碗面 Handmade Ramen — Restaurant in Sydney

This review is only based on a staff member who worked today 25th May 2023 at lunch- which I hope they let her go as she doesn’t belong on customer service. My daughter and I have been there many times and usually are greeted and treated politely. But today a new girl treated me and my daughter very rudely- We were at the front waiting to be taken to a seat- The girl who I greeted very kindly and loudly- walked straight past us as to purposely show disregard and disrespect. My daughter and I sat down and looked at the menu, usually it is table service but this girl refused to take our order- when I asked her over she rudely pointed that I must pay at the counter first- I was stunned and continued to the counter to pay awkwardly- Then the soup came out which was fine- And tea too- But when the dumplings arrived I asked her for side plates and she seemed annoyed at my request- bringing only one I said “I asked for 2” then she pointed at the dishes section and said I have to get it myself- I was absolutely shocked at what she was doing- after I asked her for a fork for my daughter who doesn’t use a chopsticks- she was extremely annoyed and so I said “it’s your job to get all these things for the customer- also that I have never experienced such rude behaviour and lack of respect and service in my life” the manager came to see and I explained what happened from the start- Soon some Asian people came in (I am not Asian) and she greeted them and sat them and took out a pen and paper at their table to take their order- so I had a sense of racism from her part. I said to the manager I can not believe and I had never experienced such a rude person in my life. I hope she is sacked- I told the manager she should not be the first person you see as you enter the restaurant.. We will not be coming back unless...

Food was very nice, pleasantly surprised that the stir fry noodles was not swimming in oil. Lamb was nice but the server failed to had how spicy we'd like, 2nd sign of her bad service and laziness

The waitress service was absolute rubbish! She was the laziest waitress I've come across in a few years. She was also annoyingly nosey. As I walked in, she didn't greet us, jumped straight into asking why my hand was bandaged up. When she brought all the dishes out she left them all on the edge of the table in my dads direct elbow line which could've easily ended in the food being elbowed off the table by mistake.

I later asked her to clear 2 empty plates and bowls off the table, she first ignored me twice even though she was still at the table, I then said excuse me to ask her to come back and collect the empty dishes, her reply was don't worry, just leave it there and refused to move the empty dishes. As we went to pay she kept asking personal questions and had 0 care about how the meal was.

I really question how she is still employed being so lazy, bad at her job and...

Monday 16th October, 2023 Comparing to before, my favourite biang biang noodles had declined. Still good noodle texture and the ingredients put into the dish, but flavour wise, it was more flavoursome before. Today's biang biang noodles was still nice, but the flavour was lighter. The lady there shouldn't be yelling across the dining room, when she does, it gives customers discomfort with their dining experience, which also ruins the atmosphere. To talk with the staffs in the kitchen while you're on the other side of the restaurant, may I suggest something like a microphone or walkie talkies?? Rather than having to yell across the room like that?? 🤔 🤔

2022 Perfect size portion for lamb skewers and very tender. Other lamb skewers elsewhere were bland and dry. Best biang biang noodles...
