I will start off by saying that I did not experience any issues with the toilets as mentioned in some reviews. The place was very neat and tidy, a very comfortable space to chill in. Food-wise, I really enjoyed the calamari, I think it was one of the best I have had, crunchy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside. The meat platter was huge, had a good variety of meat, but some of the souvlaki was a bit over, so a bit tough. Overall, it was a good quiet environment that is perfect for a small gathering.

Couldn't speak higher of this bar. Amazing food and staff, they are all so friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful for either drinks, and would make for a great date spot. The bar is also dog friendly, so we often come here with the pooch. Amazing Greek styled food, and you must try the tap beer!

What a great find! Two functions had the place crowded out, but staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and look after us. Lamb cutlets were superb, and the Greek syrah complemented them perfectly. Will definitely be back to sample some more menu highlights.

Went for dinner there was a table of 12 we had the banquet which was a Greek menu which is held once a month The antipasto plate was uninviting. The breadsticks were stale The calamari soft & tastless . The main menu of the lamb was dry tasteless the so-called Greek salad had no olive oil, no vinegar no oregano the tomatoes were soggy and tasteless two people asked the waiter for olive oil completely ignored and had to go up and ask personally the desert loukoumathes two people tried them and said that they were the worst they’ve ever had. They even looked pale small hardly any honey or cinnamon. A lot of food was left over 12 people which were Greek will not return for the food. The photos of the food on the site was not what we received. A very bad interpretation of so called Greek Food. They should pay the customers to eat...

It was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I know it is Xmas but put on extra staff in the kitchen to cope. Wait Staff tried their best but the food was terrible, service was slow and being told that we had to order share platters otherwise they could not guarantee separate orders would be able to be served in reasonable time was just unacceptable. So we did as the owner asked They do not know how to run a restaurant. They are a pub trying to be a haute cuisine as they are situated in Woollahra. He did not have enough staff or cooks. Kitchen is not equipped for a La carte...

Lovely ambiance with food to match

We visit the Phoenix every couple of weeks or so. The moussaka is to die for! It's the only place I know that serves a moussaka of that quality. The eggplant is caramelised and encrusted on the bottom of the serving dish. Delicious! We usually have the souvlaki too. The salads are very good as well. Do yourself a favour and get down to the Phoenix to get the moussaka because it is a huge change from the usual chicken schnitzels and burgers offered by most other pubs, cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of...
