Eat at any of the other amazing Italian local restaurants rather than this place including Ill Baretto, Barbetta and Big Mamas. Seriously the worst Italian food I’ve had in many decades for a high price. The Foccacia starter was hard as a rock like it had been baled in 2023. The Octopus was chewy and the sauce like something out of MacDonalds. My vongole pasta tasted like dishwater and the clams indescribably tastless. The tomato salad ‘the best on the menu’ was floury and like it had been left in the fridge expired dressed up with a sauce that didn't help - completely in edible. The service shocking we saw waiters that were trying being berated and told off for helping customers. Seated outside the men hosting the restaurant all kept bringing more tavles and chairs out to the point where we felt we were moving house whilst eating. No ambience or hospitality at all. It was a train wreck. An absolutely horrific dining experience. I could not wait to pay the bill and never return.

What a fun new local! Delicious food, great ambiance and attentive service. The moment we arrived we felt like family. Cute table outside, it was raining but still undercover. Glasses were promptly filled and plates and cutlery were changed with every course … without even knowing. Food was incredible, I highly recommend the Kingfish ceviche and Eye fillet with asparagus, confit tomato, beef jus sauce. Plus a limoncello on the house ❤️. See you next week!

2nd day in operation and this place is already a winner. Loved the mains, pizza and desert. Very friendly service. Youthful, vibrant buzz but with appropriately excellent quality to stand out in Woollahra. Antonio looked after our small party of 3 with my eldery mother and we all enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend Queen Street Italian.

We were sadly quite disappointed with the food despite the reviews (and given the price point.)

The potato pizza had big chunks of potato rather than thin slivers, that made it quite heavy and from a taste POV .. well… it just tasted like a giant potato

The tomato and peach salad was great in flavour but the giant tomato’s were chopped very roughly in quarters which were huge

Overall, it felt like the presentation and food prep of ingredients really let down the experience and taste. It didn’t feel as premium as the prices attached.

Service was lovely and friendly though, but unfortunately won’t...
