El Jana Kogarah has got to be the poorest form of customer service in an establishment I’ve ever had to deal with. My family and I regularly frequent this restaurant, physically and via Uber. Tonight I ordered a fairly large and costly order only to have a quarter of my order delivered with someone else’s half finished order.
In the order labelled with my name I received 4 tubs of garlic sauce - which I did not order? My tabouli and bread which I did.
The other bag who was even labelled to someone else contained 1 tub of pickles when his receipt also stated a full chicken which was not there.
I know without fail Uber will always refund when an incorrect and incomplete order is received, however as this fault appeared to be of the restaurant itself as well, I decided to call and address this issue with them in the hopes that they could send me my costly order.
Upon ringing, the server could barley understand what I was telling her and constantly told me that she had to ask her manager over and over again. Exhausted I demanded to speak to the manager. This by the way took about 3 phone calls to execute. - I understand their busy, however this is not the level of customer service an establishment should be providing to a disgruntled customer at this stage.
Finally I’ve reached the manager. He advised me “this is not our problem. It’s Uber’s problem. Ring them” I advised that I had contacted Uber however this indeed was an El Jana mistake. Not only was my order incorrect but so was the other guys order. When I tried to explain that it was not possible that the Uber driver is driving around with a whole chicken and that this was an incomplete order on El Janas behalf. He advised “Not my problem lady, the Uber driver has taken your food And probably eaten it.” To which he proceeded to hang up on me.
I have never experienced this disappointing and disheartening and frankly rude customer service. I was bemused! So here I sit $70 short, 4 tubs of garlic sauce, 1 tub of pickles, bread and tabouli and a hungry family.
As much as we enjoyed El Jana we certainly will not be wasting any further time on the Kogarah branch. I would encourage the owner to hire better staff, and more respectful managers. You’ve...
Read moreWas excited to try a new chicken shop because ive heard there other shops are good. I did not get a good first good impression so wont be back. There online menu is completely different to the one in the store, so if you order online you will not get what you ordered. The family meal with 2 chickens comes with a very small side salad of your choice but for a family meal with 2 chickens it is the size for 2 people not a family. The chips are large but only enough for 2-3 people. They were poor quality chips, soggy and lots of dark brown chips in the box. We ordered a large baba ganouj. It was so lemony we couldnt eat it and the best part it had some sort of white paste in it and it definitely wasnt tahini or eggplant which is what baba ganouj is made of right. I called a friend who said it could be yogurt. that wasnt mixed in properly. Huh? yogurt in my baba ganouj. Be careful if you are allergic to dairy. They should be having warning of this. It was $10 for the container but it wasnt real baba ganouj. The chicken had a good flavour but was extremely dry. It felt no care is being taken at all with anything. It was hard to understand the lady on the phone , The staff werent trained but they were doing it at customers time when your there instead of training them before at other stores? It doesnt make sense. so this place is just a...
Read moreStay the hell away. Has a public holiday levy, a hidden sign, and charged for take away!! I understand for dinning in. But take away!! And nice to see instead of gathering donations for lebanon and gaza, you are ripping people off locally for your pockets! Greedy and pathetic approach!
And open your bag of food, it's missing cutlery. U get over that and start eating, and u get the checked that is I would say the least, poisonous! Black and blue chicken! Shame!!
UPDATE: as you can see, absolutely no effort to fix anything when it comes to your complaints. and ABSOLUTELY not give your shop another chance, let alone the brand! as for your excuse that costs on public holidays??? seriously, i have a business, and know how this works, your daily sales BOOST on public holidays, and you just got greedy and sneaky! see the other reviews.. charge what you want for dine in, for service, but a charge for take away and turning up to pick up, GREEDY! and stupid business! anyway, the food was poisonous and was thrown away, you don't care to address this in any way to make up to a customer. suggest a dam refund or something.. again, proving you as operators are simply greedy...
