Pod By Peter — Restaurant in Sydney

The savoury food here is okay, nothing special. The coffee can be good, but not consistently. For this I would probably rate this place 3. I've given it a 2 because of the dreadful attitude of one of the staff. The two of us went there for breakfast, our first meal came out very quickly. But it went cold while we waited for the other. After a reminder we still waited, in total for about 15 minutes. When it arrived, I gave the waitress a way out by teasingly asked if she'd forgotten (we're all make mistakes), however apparently the other 3 tables were making the place "very busy". In a friendly manner I suggested they try and bring out the meals together...but apparently you must ask when you order if you want meals at the same time at Pod by Peter. This is there cafe policy. Apparently, as I was told, all cafes are different. Not that I can think of any other cafe or restaurant that doesn't try to bring meals at the same time? Her manner from this point was rather unfriendly.

Anyway, I can only assume she was the manager or owner the way she spoke. A bit of a shame, the other staff there are...

Ill start off with the positives very tasty acai bowls and the french toast was awesome. Coffee was tasty - using a great bean with double roasters. However, there was far too much froth for a latte - about 2.5cm to be exact! One of the acai bowls also had a few large strawberries that were still very frozen. The other dissapointing aspect was the service. After ordering 3 coffees and 3 meals, we realised that one coffee was missing. Upon asking about this, we were advised that only 2 coffees were ordered. I clearly remember ordering 3 - but thats forgivable, as I know mistakes are made. I was dissapointed that no apology was offered - instead the lady grabbed the coffee reciept and pointed out "you only ordered two coffees" and told me to come up to order another if i would like an additional coffee. After working in hospitality for a few years I know mistakes can be made at both ends, but an apology is the first thing that should be offered. There was no sense of accountability here which has made me not want to rush...

I came in with a group of friends, most of us ordered breakfast, and a couple just ordered drinks. We sat down, and the first dish that came out was completely wrong. When we questioned the order, the waitress argued with us, insisting she repeated it correctly. We had ordered eggs your way with extra eggs and avocado, but instead, we received eggs Benedict 🙄. I honestly don't know how those two dishes got mixed up.

Then, the second dish came out. It was supposed to have extra fried eggs, well done, but the waitress brought them sunny side up and argued with me when I pointed out the mistake. I clearly said "well done," not "sunny side up." It seemed like the waitress had a hearing issue, as there's no way we all ordered the wrong thing.

Additionally, four of our drinks were never brought to our table and were just left sitting on the counter. We had to go get them ourselves, even though we were dining in, and we had no idea how long they had been sitting there.
