It was the first time dining here, will be our last as well. 1 star due to having irrelevant alcoholic beverage (getting served to another table) glass cup shattered next to my feet as staff dropped it on the floor. It would be 2 star otherwise due to having spacious interior ALCOHOL IS POISON. Facts.
Some careless staffs assisted by bots carrying foods. The standing structure of the robot was perpendicularly right in the way, awkward to grab the heavy plates safely while seated. 5 different staffs received served and attended the orders even when they had the robots carrying the plates to the table.
Food was far from the usual Rashays quality. Medium t bone steak was cooked to well done. Creamy Chicken pasta was dumped with sauce and cheese, with mushed up frail pieces of chicken. The chefs were seem to be overcooking and overloading with sauces and spice from what could be perceived. But that's their job. Just opposite to what i experienced at dining Rashays elsewhere that had quality food served to our tastes.
Drink refill drama had 3 requests of sprite refill ending up with sparkling water, last re request ending up being served after few minutes, it was 10 step trip from the drink bar To table 3. Ordered sparkling water, hoping to might as ending up have sprite instead. Staff girl 1 took in the order, initially returned asking for new cup or refill? staff girl 2 brought pink lemonade refill? When asked for sparkling water this time. She says it was her sister serving beforehand. Then how come the other sister brings the wrong drink Every time? It was hard to bring staff to attention just for drink refill. She shattered the glass cup at our feet. She apologised but whole restaurant heard the shatter, damage was done. It was dropped as she was on her way to the other tables, carrying 2 or 3 other big glass cup drinks concurrently on a thin wooden plastic, tilting it on to my table and glass cup sliding and hitting the floor. The alcoholic drink had spilled on me. No checks on whether i do not drink alcohol or it had affected other 3 patrons who were minors. The disgusting piss smell of alcohol smeared, smelled it in the car trip on the way back home.
Staff sweeped up few pieces of glasses and mopped the floor that was smeared with drink with the drink itself. Slippage warning sign was put on.
Had paid full price for the meals.
Mens toilet had run out of toilet roll paper.
Quirky standards and experience for a Rashays restaurant .
On the TV they showed up different budget per person meal set deals, couldn't find it on the menu nor had any suggestion...
Read moreCame here to support a local business. Regretted it. Firstly, waitstaff were untrained and just plain confused the whole time. We had a dish delivered to our table that we did not order, which took 3 waitstaff about 5 minutes to understand what we were trying to explain to them. It felt like I was watching a troop of baboons try to figure out how to put a square puzzle piece into a triangle hole.
Speaking of baboons, there were also raucous kids screaming from the playset situated within the dining area.
Food was average but I am pleasantly surprised that we did not find any plastic in our dish (as a few other reviews have stated). However, beware as the pricing is dodgey and they will scam you in any possible way. We were charged $3 for some chilli flakes to be sprinkled onto some pasta (billed as Rashays chilli). Upon questioning this, we were told that's the charge. Not until we brought it up with the manager did they remove this charge.
One good thing is that on Sundays, kids eat free with a full paying adult meal. That is great, love it! However, when we looked at the bill, we noticed that the Sunday 10% surcharge was also applied to the FREE kids meals. When asked about it, they said that a few people have complained about this but there is nothing they can do; it is simply how the system works. You can see from the attached receipt that the sub-total is $356.65 but the 10% service charge is $38.16 (because it includes 2 free kids meals). Scamming the public few dollars at a time... nice..
We were happy to see that Rashay's membership is free, and with it, you receive 10% off! However, as we looked at the receipt, the 10% off doesn't include the full amount. When asked about it, we were told that certain meals aren't included.
All these little underhanded scammy techniques are just a terrible way of doing business. Save your money and go somewhere else if you're looking for a decent meal.
Also, do some research and look at the 5 star reviews. Many fake ones which you can tell because they have written only 1 or 2 reviews. Also, two of the 5 star reviews are by Saud Rehman and Saad Rehman who I recognised as staff from the restaurant. Read the 5 star and 1 star reviews, use some logical thinking, and make up...
Read moreRashays serve average food, similar to a pub. I ordered a wagyu scotch fillet steak that was cooked as I like it, and my partner ordered the Sirloin steak which he enjoyed. My chips that were served on the side were average and a little overcooked so wasn't too impressed with that although, the steak was lovely.
The service however definitely needs improvement. Not too sure exactly where these people worked previously but surely does not appear to be in restaurants... As my partner and I walked in we verbalised that we have a booking. It took the brain power of 3 staff members to comprehend what a booking was. The lady at the counter did not bother to check the computer which was strange, although to our luck they found us a table. I had asked the lady serving us if my partner and I could sit at a booth however, the 2 booths I asked to sit at were reserved. If this place had good service the waiter could have offered to sit us on one of the other 3 empty booths to my left. Another helpful piece of feedback would be to invest in some steak knives... My partner and I got given ONE steak knife due to a shortage meaning my partner had to eat his steak with a butter knife. Whilst I was conversing with my partner I noticed the waiter next to me rudely leaning over me to take a picture of the table next to us. Not sure what people skills these staff members have but there was no 'sorry' nor 'excuse me' for leaning on a customer. Rude. To summarise, this place needs some definite improvement with their service as it was not up to expectation. The family environment was lovely and the food is definitely at an...
