Where do I start? I write this review as I'm still eating because I need to share how AMAZING this establishment is. Honestly there is nothing to fault, except 1 thing and that is my lack of stomach space 🙈 Okay so I'll set the scene. Its a 30th birthday party. We heard of Thaleia from instagram and Facebook reels so we thought we'd check it out. We ended up going online and found Groupon deals and we thought why not? And Damn!!!! The food was just amazing. There is only 1 server.(Joseph) and he is just wonderful and so accommodating, I miscounted our family group and we were 1 place short and he just sorted it no problems what so ever. Its a cute little place and feel so authentic to some of the places I had been to when I went to Greece. Okay the food. Honestly I can't fault 1 thing and I'm picky. My father is a pain to take with us anywhere because he hates eating out and today I didn't hear his voice at all, why? Because it was so occupied by the delicious food being served. I called out from one end of the table to the other "Dad 👍" and dad just looked at me food in mouth with a massive bubble in his cheek and just said 😁👍👍👍. This is huge for my father he rarely does that when my mother cooks for him 😝.
The Greek salad- fresh and tasty the cheese is delicious and the olive oil is delicious way better than any I've ever tasted here from woolies/Coles etc.
The calamari- was beautiful and tenter and crispy.
The zucchini chips were light and crunchy and flavoursome.
The dips- delicious .
The halloumi sheeae platter OMG a moment in heaven!
The meat platter just wow. I went to Alex and Co last week for a function and I can say hands down that I wouldn't wipe my backside with the food they presented. But this platter I would have happily paid what we did at Alex and Co (which wasn't cheap) and more.
The lamb was tender and succulent and full of flavour.
The chicken just the same.
The chips looked homemade and the taste and flavour was beyond amazing especially with all the meat and chicken juices dripping on to them.
The pitta bread I would have been happy to just have as my meal, that's how good it tasted.
I genuinely can't explain how happy I am with the food, the service and the atmosphere.
Walking out if here I kind of feel ashamed. I feel like I've robbed these wonderful people the amount of food we got compared to the price we paid....its more than reasonably priced.
15 people and we still had food left over and remember I only booked for 14....I'll let you ponder.
Thank you so much to the management for the amazing establishment they have and the outstanding service.
Parking is a little hard but its Beverlyhills. Also for all the parents out there....there is not only a toilet on the premises but there is also a baby change table.
One of the photos is the leftovers after we finished, look at how much food was left over!.
We will be back! And...
Read moreWe couldn't be more disappointed. We went here tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a complete disappointment. When we arrived we were given a choice of two tables. We sat and then noticed people walking to the entry to scan the QR code to check in. The staff never mentioned it or asked us to check in. We got up and walked over to scan it though as you're supposed to check in at restaurants. We just thought they would have brought us a code or pointed it out. As it turned out, they didn't care if we checked in or not and they never mentioned it.
We were brought menus that were a cut down version of the normal menu that is currently available on their website. We ordered wine and asked the waitress if they had any vegetarian options and if they were still serving the items listed on their website. She said she'd check but when she came back she put our wine down and left immediately. After that the waiter arrived and stood by our table. No small talk or "are you ready to order?", he just stood there... I asked if they had vegetarian options given the cut down menu was nothing like their website said was available and he took my menu and read "vegetables for $7.90"... which was a side dish. Not exactly what I was after... I went with some zucchini chips and after they arrived, asked for a menu so I could order something else but the waitress never came back. I can't believe there was no "would you like some bread and dips?" or "more wine?" or "would you like something else?".
We had been given $200 to go out for a nice meal for our anniversary and ended up spending $50 (almost half of which was on wine).
The complete bait and switch from the menu on their website to the page we were given when we arrived is extremely deceitful. Their latest social media post also says their full menu is available but when we asked the staff they said ingredients weren't available due to covid. Given they use the same ingredients in the dishes that attracted us to try this restaurant, I'm thinking the dishonesty runs deep. When we asked the waiter about the menu he said he "wasn't the boss and the boss doesn't care".
Don't waste your time or money here. There are plenty of better...

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Thaleia Restaurant for their incredible compassion and support last night. Despite it being a busy Saturday evening, with the venue full and many people celebrating, the atmosphere shifted instantly when my friend experienced a medical episode requiring ambulance assistance.
The band stopped playing, the owner and staff stepped in calmly and respectfully, and even the diners quietly paused their evenings. It was an extraordinary display of kindness, patience, and genuine care.
My friend is living with stage 4 metastatic cancer, and it is her heartfelt wish to keep visiting Thaleia, her favourite restaurant. The way the entire team and patrons responded in such a difficult moment allowed her to feel seen, safe, and respected.
Thank you, Thalia, for your humanity, empathy, and for helping make my friend’s wish a reality. We are...
