Loukoumades Greek Street — Restaurant in Sydney

Everyone loves doughnuts, right? Rhetorical question. You will be in doughnut heaven with Sydney’s new nightime Greek Dessert Bar (open 6pm-late), specialising in Greek doughnuts that are called Loukmades. If you have not tried this Greek dessert before, they are like your regular doughnuts, fluffy in the inside, with a crunchy coating. The traditional option comes with honey and cinnamon but they also have a range of other flavours too. This dessert bar is located on King Georges Rd Beverly Hills and is a must visit for those with a sweet tooth.

Loukmades Street Greek has a good vibes and atmosphere set with their great choice of music. The owner Sergio and his staff are very welcoming, entertaining and fun, showcasing the famous Greek hospitality. In true greek style you will not leave hungry, the servings of these delicious dough balls are very generous. At around $9-$14 a serving, that’s pretty reasonable.

These little dough puffs with a crisp outer batter and soft airy centre would be enough to leave Homer Simpson salivating...like mmmmm. There are many variations including; *Nutella and strawberries - a popular choice amongst visitors *Biskotto - milk choc, white choc, biscuit and vanilla gelato (my parents favourite) *Salted Caramel with pistachio and vanilla gelato *Sweet Cheese with honey syrup, sweet cheese sauce and pistachio *White choc with almonds and strawberries *classic/original which is served with honey syrup and cinnamon - undoubtedly the favourite of visitors.

They also have a vegan option (cinnamon and clove syrup) so everyone can visit!

There are also a range of drinks to enjoy with your Loukmades including milkshakes, Greek tea and coffee. Loukmades Greek Street do a great Freddo, which is a Greek iced coffee. The fredo is perfect to cool you down on those hot Sydney Nights / we were there on possibly the hottest night in Sydney, so we’re testament to that. They vary the sweetness of the drink according to taste and so everyone can get their favourite option.

As with most aspects involving food, the experience is more positive if patrons are willing to part with more money. The nutella deluxe was certainly more tasty, especially with the strawberries covered in chocolate.

Get 'crispy' as the crunchy texture is another element to be enjoyed.

Using the flat end of the fork, I scrapped off the chocolate from the bottom of the box. The box doesn't go soggy so take your time enjoy.

Greek covers/ originals pump from the speakers while eating so definitely stay and chat.

This place is absolutely amazing. The deserts are to die for especially given they are the specialty of the business. They also have a lovely variety of ice cream on offer so no one can ever come to this place and say this sweet tooth hasn’t been satisfied

The number of variety of loukoumades or Greek doughnuts is incredible.

You can have a choice of crispy or traditional soft doughnuts with a number of fillings and toppings to suit the palate.

They also make terrific milkshakes in a variety of flavours and everything is made fresh on site.

Above all what makes this place exceptional is the amazing service with which orders are taken and delivered to their customers.

Maria who is the owners sister is it one of the most delightful young people you could ever meet. Her bubbly personality makes you want to come back to this place again and again.
