My partner and I were looking for a place to get some breakfast. We initially considered The Butcher's Block, but it looked too packed and my partner didn’t want to wait too long for food, so we decided to go to Redleaf Piccolo instead. I asked the lady at the front if they were still serving breakfast, and she said yes. She was quite lovely but a bit hard to understand. My partner got the breakfast special, and I ordered the smashed avocado on toast with two poached eggs for an extra $5, which I was fine with as long as the food was good.
When the food arrived, my partner’s meal looked like it was made by a five-year-old. It consisted of roughly chopped tomatoes, one of which was green, three pieces of cold bacon, and scrambled eggs that looked far from appetizing. The bread was just two end pieces of sourdough. That is justifiable due to its location. The beef pho had a good serving size, the broth was light but for me, the pho could have had a little more depth in flavour. This is my opinion though. My BBQ pork and apple salad was not great, no authentic flavours, some of the lettuce was black(gone off) and part of the pork fillet was fatty.
