Our experience was very poor. The table service we would not recommend the establishmen to anyone after our recent experience. We got our starters after waiting half an hour. We then had to wait a further 1 1/2 hrs for the main course to be served. The mains came out in dribs and drabs. One of the party of 4 adults and 2 children had finished the main course whilst we were awaiting the balance of the mains to be served. The experience was not enjoyable at all. It was my Birthday the 30th of May the day we visited the establishment. We were not happy with the service given to us at all. We had to call the waiter over on 2 occasions as we were still awaiting dishes being served. The service was very poor to say the least. We did not enjoy our experience and most certainly not recommend the Restaurant to others. We asked to speak with the Manager. He came over and we explained the situation that we were not happy as we had young children with us whom were hungry. He spoke to us and asked whos Birthday it was. I told him it was mine. He said please let me get you a dessert for all the inconveinience you have had this evening. We got the bill and he had the audacity to have charged us for the desssert he had said was on the house. We were that fed up of what had happened i didnt want to raise the issue. We grabbed our coats and left unhappy. You really need to take a look at your staffing levels and Management. They most certainly have a lot to learn about customer liason and man management. Stephen Jackson HNC Eng. Table 42 on...
Read moreThis is an excellent, spacious and classy place to visit on your own, with a partner or in large groups!
I visited for dinner on a Sunday night and ordered a chicken schnitzel (parmagiana).
You can walk in from either the main or side street. Simply walk in and take a seat and go up to the main bar when you're ready to order.
The staff were very professional and full of charm. They always appeared focused on their tasks and were happy to assist me when I asked for assistance. This made for a very welcoming atmosphere.
Speaking of atmosphere, the place has had its decor updated recently, and they've gone for a dark theme (nothing the black walls and charcoal carpets, etc.), which presents an air of refinement.
It does not appear that any expense was appeared on the furniture, as you'll find leather couches, wooden chairs and plush high back chairs (which were stupendously comfy!)
And there's plenty of room, at least for 100-200 people in the main area (and there could be more).
How was the food? Delicious. The generous portion of chicken was succulent and the chips and salad balanced it well. The wait time was around 20 minutes from the time of ordering.
My meal with a glass of coke will cost you a little over $30. In my eyes, the quality of the meal and the excellent atmosphere is well worth this price.
Will definitely keep this place high on my list for a revisit when I want a classy lunch or dinner in Camden again. Would recommend...
Read moreThe establishment was a well-suited environment for a productive working lunch break, with a quiet atmosphere and a clean, inviting ambiance. The well-maintained restrooms and tables boasted a level of cleanliness that was quite pleasing to me.
However, the staff's attentiveness to customers left something to be desired. They appeared somewhat disgruntled, forgoing even a courteous smile when attending to customers. One couldn't help but wonder if the employees were on their break or perhaps not yet clocked in for their shift, as no help was given to the busy barmaid. The sight of young staff members engaging in animated conversations with familiar customers, while a lone individual struggled to manage the lengthy queue, was rather perplexing.
Though the service lacked exemplary finesse, the overall experience was not entirely unpleasant. Perhaps the establishment was simply navigating the complexities of staffing and customer flow on that particular day. After all, we can't expect perfection every time, can we? A bit of lenience and understanding can go a long way,...
