Excellent food and great coffee and it's great to support our local cafe's! The brekkie rolls are very delicious! However this morning made me seriously consider never returning again. It was the most unwelcoming customer experience. This morning the young lady who took our order (South American, I think) did not greet us at all. I actually was the one who first said "hello, how are you?" Her rudeness distracted me so I lost my train of thought when ordering which clearly annoyed her. There was zero friendliness during the whole interaction and she made us feel like we were more of an annoyance than a welcomed customer. I saw a previous review from someone who also had a similar experience with this staff member. I appreciate and respect cultural differences, however good customer service is universal no matter where you are in the world. Saying hello and being friendly and saying thank you is not culturally bound. It's just being a nice human being. As a consumer I have a choice to spend my hard earned cash where there is great food and most importantly a welcoming atmosphere. Sundays are my only day off, and I love to explore coffee shops in different areas. This morning, I walked into this shop and the young lady at the register ignored me completely. I looked at her and greeted her, and she barely replied. The shop was empty, and I wanted to ask her some questions about the way that they prepare chai (not every shop brews it nicely). She rudely replied and did not even look at me. I wanted to ask another question (there was no other customer in the shop, that’s why I wanted to ask another question) and then she loudly and with a rude tone asked me: large or small? I tried to ask again, but she just asked me even louder: large or small!? Without even making eye contact. Then more customers arrived and this lady was so loudly welcoming and smiley. (Totally different person). Then I got served the sweetest “brewed” chai I’ve ever tried. (It had to be powder Chai or maybe some sugar was added to it. It was terrible, and I couldn’t finish it). Went there this morning and I just want to say that you need to put someone else to do the front. The poor barista was sooooo busy that she could not do the till. I was not in a rush and the barista was so fine but I cloud see in her eyes how desperate she was on getting everything done for everyone. The blond young girl in the kitchen was doing nothing and didn’t came to help in any moment at all. Than the other girl ask for help because me and other people were waiting for a bit longer and the blond girl came raising the eyes and she was not nice at all. Took the others and came back. I was there for a little longer because I wanted to see. She bring up 2 egg bacon for 2 kids that complain about how long took for the rolls, pass through the customers in front again and again didn’t help.
