Seagulls On Argyle — Restaurant in Sydney

I ordered food there tonight and had the worst experience. I sat at a chair whilst my food was being prepared and could clearly see the girl (Montana) making the burger. She picked the salads up to put on the burger with her bare hands, no gloves or utensils. Prior to her making the burger she was cleaning the benches with a clothe and wiping her hands on her tshirt. I was sitting debating if I would say something, as I did not want to get her in trouble. My thoughts were I would remain quiet however would throw the burger out as I would not be able to eat it. I guess things got the better of me and as a lady that works there came out the front and I had a chat with her about it. She said she would have the burger remade. When Montana was asked to make another burger the reaction was not what I expected. She was clearly annoyed. I told her I could see she was upset but I had to say something as I would not have eaten the burger. Her response towards me was surprising given she was clearly in the wrong. I was treated with disrespect and she did not offer an apology. Her looks and body language clearly showed how she felt. The other workers present were also not the friendliest. I am not sure if Jim and Toula still own the shop but if they do I am sure they would be upset by this as they pride themselves on delivering excellent service. I have always enjoyed the food there but have noticed the service decline over the past few months without the presence of Jim and Toula. I will never buy from there again....

The food was great and in a time like today, I think it’s priced so well. Amazing value especially for the quality of food you’re getting.

The cherry on top has to be the hospitality and service. What I believe to be the most important thing in a business that’s also sadly, so frequently overlooked. These ladies made me feel at home today. Couple of cheeky jokes, and an enthusiasm to provide actual service!

It’s the little things like, they offered actual cutlery when they saw us struggling with the recyclable stuff. Even said bye as one finished her shift for the day. Exactly the homely warm feeling you want when visiting your local...

Wow. $50 for the worst seafood and service I have ever had! Food aside firstly, the arrogance and rudeness of the staff was beyond me, for the classy town of Camden, how this shop is still open is questionable, especially where these 5 star reviews have come from? And I’m not sure how everyone else like there food prepared, but I don’t appreciated watching staff nibbling on there fingers then proceeding to prepare food, disgusting! Never have I ordered hot take away food with a salad, where the salad is placed without a lid especially, inside the hot food, literally with a fried fish on top to wilt it all before it’s even eaten.
