Came to visit your restaurant around 2pm~ on Friday 24/10. Your restaurant did look promising, that was until Friday.
I was considering on ordering a pizza but upon arrival there were no menus on display at all which prompted me to browse on my phone which i dislike especially when visiting a new restaurant. To me personally, this feels a little uninviting. This could be rectified with a little fix as simple as an outdoor stand displaying your menu. Having it tucked in the pigeon hole feels (in a way) that you need to dine in to see what the menu entails whereas having it on full display outside not only invites more customers, but it is also another form of advertisement for your place too.
The most annoying issue of all is the fact that I was standing at the entrance of your restaurant with one staff member walking around and past me not once, but twice without any form acknowledgement at all. There were perhaps (from memory) 3-4 tables at most if that which, for the size of your eatery is considered a "quiet period".
I cannot stress how important it is to acknowledge every single patron that walks through your establishment regardless of how busy the place is. A simple "Hello, have you been looked after?" or even a nod signalling that you have been seen and will be attended to shortly can do massive wonders for customers waiting at the entrance.
I am writing this from an ex-chef's perspective pointing out two flaws that can be fixed quite easily. Please do not take this to heart but use this as a way to improve because nothing makes me more sad than to see a restaurant (that has a wonderful menu with a great team)...
Read moreWe were seated outside, and unfortunately three small flies ended up in our food and drinks - one in the water, one in a coffee, and one on a plate. Staff replaced the first glass promptly, which we appreciated, but the issue continued. The team was polite but seemed focused on larger groups, which is understandable. When asked how our meal was, the staff member had already moved on before we could mention it after replying “it’s okay… but” (they’d already walked away).
Our table was on the edge of the outdoor seating area, only a few metres from a bin, which may have contributed. We sincerely hope this feedback is taken on board. While we understand outdoor seating naturally attracts insects, it did impact our experience. Perhaps setting up dining tables a little further from the bin and grass area, or using discreet fly deterrents like citronella, could help reduce flies around the outdoor area.
We were in two minds about leaving this feedback, as the restaurant is new and the staff were nice, and we were too tired to keep raising the issue while dining. Hopefully it’s useful and helps anyone seated in a...
Read moreI recently visited this new restaurant. Come in with an empty stomach! —trust me, the food was so tasty and plentiful. The wood-fired prawn pizza was fluffy yet slightly dense with the right amount of king prawns. The servings were very generous. The chicken skewers were moist and flavourful, and the calamari was tender and cooked to perfection. The halloumi was presented beautifully and served immediately. They were also happy to provide containers for leftovers, which made for a great lunch the next day.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and despite only being open for a week, the service was pleasant and welcoming. The manager was particularly friendly, which added to the positive experience. I definitely plan to return and try more from their...
