Simply The Best — Restaurant in Sydney

I first passed by during an afternoon, when William (I learned his name later) was bringing fresh vegetables in. It was not open for customers, but William was so friendly that I said he would come back another day for dinner (even though it wasn't the closest place to my home) I just did, and I'm so glad! William was actually super friendly, both through his words ("Welcome home" is his moto for instance) and his way to talk, very enthusiastic This is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant As a starter I had steamed dim sim (with pork) As a main I had a combination (chicken, beef and King pawns) with lemongrass (which was served on top of green salad), along with steamed rice as a side As a drink I had young coconut juice, that even came with some coconut flesh, a nice surprise "Welcome home" is the moto, and you do feel home when you come there (I could tell some customers there were returning guests, no wonder why) And I had a seasonal dessert, a yummy mixed berry cheesecake And there's WiFi available, and a TV Definitely...

Simply the Best is not only one of the better chinese/Vietnamese restaurants around town, it's simply the best of the best. William goes out of his way to make sure you're accommodated and feel welcomed with old school yet quality customer service. The food here bar none is simply one of the best in Sydney. Tucked in a line of shops you'll find yourself entering into a time capsule of what it feels like to be eating at an authentic chinese Vietnamese restaurant. From the decor or lack there of, the team is efficient and speedy at getting your orders made in a timely fashion, serving up hot, fresh and delicious food that is truly mouth watering.

Extremely disappointing to say the least! It’s been a long while since I visited this pub and unfortunately it will be the last time I do.

The place is pretty grubby, they may be undergoing renovations, I’m not sure but in general it was pretty grubby looking

The bar person was not hospitable at all, in fact I would go as far as saying he was pretty rude. It appeared that he was either having a bad day, doesn’t like his job or just doesn’t like people. Not a great attitude for a job hospitality.

He was not friendly or engaging what so ever!

Staff are the key to any successful business and unfortunately in this case that is what has led to this poor review!

My friends and I certainly won’t be going back or recommending this place.
